Students of Civil Engineering Participates in Megalith, 2020

March 2, 2020: Final year student Abhisekh Kumar Dubey of Civil Engineering Department, GIET University represented the University at Megalith, 2020. It is India’s largest annual technical fest conducted by the Civil Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT). The two-day event was organised between February 29-March 1.  Abhishek was honoured for his outstanding performance at the event.

Megalith has achieved considerable popularity in the engineering and corporate sector since it’s inception in 2009.

Course curriculum should be improved.

Placements: In the current scenario, around 60% of students till now have been placed. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 26 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture and Tech Mahindra. Developer roles are offered more from this courses. Less numbers of students secured internships.

It is a good university. If we get admission at this college, then our future will be bright.

Placements: At GIET University Gunupur, placements are very good. Many companies visit our college to hire students with good salary packages like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Tata, etc. Around 100% of students got internships or projects. If students are good at academic careers then they are placed with good salary packages.

Overall a decent place to get admission.

GIET UNIVERSITY is good.

Placements: This college provides decent placements. The highest package is approximately 30 LPA, the lowest package is approximately 4 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. Top companies visit for placement, like TCS, Accenture, and Infosys. According to placements, Accenture is the best company in this college. 90 percent of students got internships in the 3rd year of the course.

Good college, GIET University Odisha.

Placements: Placement at this college is decent, and 70 to 80 percent get placement every year. The highest package is approximately 30 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. Top companies like Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, Birla, etc., recruit here. 80 percent of students got internships in different companies.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.

Placements: Every year, around 70% of students get placed with an average package. In 2024, the highest package was 25 LPA from Scale, and the average was 3 LPA from TCS or Tech Mahindra, with the lowest being 1 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. The top role offered in your course is CSE.
