GIET University: Placement, Infrastructure, Faculty - Overall Review.

Placements: 80% of students are placed in our course, and a placement drive is ongoing now. The highest package is 27 LPA, and the lowest is around 3 Lacs, with an average of 5 to 6 Lacs. Top recruitment companies like TATA, Axis Bank, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys etc. Student every chance to students. CSE is the top course in this college .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure structure of GIET UNIVERSITY is so beautiful and all labs are well-equipped. The library also has 10000 plus books. Wi-Fi is also available for everyone. The classrooms are good but not AC. The hostel facilities are average, the quality of food in the mess is acceptable, and a canteen is available, but this is only a paid canteen. The medical facilities are good. Sports and games, both indoor and outdoor, are available.

Faculty: Faculty is well educated and qualified. They are also knowledgeable in our course, which they teach. Their teaching style is decent, but they can solve all doubts of students in the classroom and also online to help. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy and difficult. It depends on students how to follow notes and the syllabus. 90 % of students passed in the previous semester.

Really good one university.

Placements: This university is very excellent in giving placement. As per my knowledge, 50 percent of students are getting placement in upcoming companies. Top recruiting companies like Accenture, Tata, and Mahindra. From my point of view, this college is providing excellent teaching to make our career, but the majority are not getting placement.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the building is excellent, but the classes are good. In each department, Wi-Fi is available. There are separate labs for each department. There is one central library that is available 24 hours for studying with free Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are good, but the canteen food is not tasty. Medical facilities are available in the college itself. For games and sports, there are separate grounds for each game with well-set playgrounds.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful in each field of study and academic issues. They are well-qualified with M.Tech degrees. Yes, this curriculum is relevant and helps in making students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult, and corrections are also done very strictly. I have attempted 6 backlogs in my semester exams. The pass percentage is approximately 35+.

Other: As I am not a hosteller, but my friends' reviews say that the hostel is quite good except for the mess food. I chose this course because I belong to this place, and I even completed my Diploma here in Gunupur. The teaching style of teachers should be practical-based. Different festivals are held, one of the most interesting being the fest, which usually happens in December. Extra activities like SIH, CODATHON are organized, along with many more. We receive scholarships from the state government of more than 26,000 per annum.

Absolutely satisfied, one of a kind.

Placements: This university is very excellent in giving placements. As per my knowledge, 80 percent of students are getting placement in upcoming companies. Top recruiting companies like Accenture, Tata, and Mahindra. From my point of view, this college is providing excellent teaching to mold our career.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this university is extraordinary and very much attractive. But the classes are moderate, not so much high-class infrastructure. The most interesting thing about this college is that Wi-Fi is available in every department of the university. The library is open 24 hours for studying.

Faculty: Faculty members are excellent in caring. They are always ready to help students with each and every issue. Most teachers are graduates with M.Tech. Yes, this course is relevant for this college as it's providing quite good teaching with affordable placement. Semester exams are too hard. One needs to study every year to tackle the exams and pass.

Other: I chose this course because one of my brothers studied here and got placement in Accenture, which allowed me to study here. An improvement for this college would be to focus on experiential knowledge rather than just theoretical learning. The enjoyment about this college is the annual fest, which is held in December and celebrates for 3 days with nostalgia and fabulous events.

Best college in Odisha, GIETU.

Placements: Range of 70 to 85 percentage of students were placed in our course in different companies. The highest package was 33 LPA and the lowest package was 4 LPA in the previous year. Top most recruiting companies like Wipro, Accenture, HCL, software company, etc. Students get eligible for internship in 3rd year of course.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure structure of our course and hostel is well-defined and its building looks beautiful. Facilities of department provide decent. Free Wi-Fi is available there and AC is available for lab class and library. Hostel facility is average and medical, sport facilities also good. For playing, a big field is available.

Faculty: Faculty of our college is well-educated and qualified. They can help all students with any doubts of our course. Their teaching quality is decent. This course makes a student industry-ready. Semester exam is too hard and difficult. And 80% students can easily pass if they read notes and syllabus of our given teacher.

Other: All fests are held at the end of semester exam. This college provides the best facilities in Odisha but compromises in mess food. And this college is one of the best colleges in Odisha.

As an institute, it is satisfactory but I didn’t expect such low quality facilities.

Placements: From CSE branch, approximately 700 students got placements. 250 students still haven't got any placements. The highest package offered was that of 29 LPA, the lowest package was 2.5 LPA. None of the students got any internships from my course, still people are trying. Jobs like web developer, and front end developer are offered in this course. Most of the students got back end developer jobs .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good with a good library, but good timings and the faculty operating are not available. The classrooms are crowded, we have more than 1300 students in the first year and we have to shifts classrooms during the first and the other half of the year. The girls hostel is outside the campus. They don’t provide facilities like swimming or the gym. The food provided is satisfactory.

Faculty: Teachers have good knowledge but majority of them are not willing to work for the growth of the students. Some of them are great at teaching. The curriculum is just good enough for placements but not great for the growth of the students. The semester exams are pretty tough, passing percentage is around 70 to 75%.
