Placements: Our seniors, who were eligible for placements were all placed. Boys did not get the highest package as there was gender bias in the placement system. A boy cleared all rounds and he did not get that company which was offering 9.5 LPA. The highest package was by Adobe Systems, which came to the college offering 20 LPA. That too was only for girls.
Placements: The placements were offered in low-level categories. A few of us got placed becaues they are offering jobs like salesman, customer care, marketing and only a few people were places in companies like Deloitte, ITC etc. Companies like Airtel, Vodafone, Bajaj, TATA Docomo, Jaro and Indigo were recruiting. Students were given low-level jobs which even an experienced 10th class pass students can get. Less than 5% of people were offered an internship. The highest stipend was rupees 7000, the lowest is...
Placements: Placements were good to say. The placement would best when you have no backlogs. The minimum package was around 3.2 LPA and the maximum package was around 6.4 LPA. The placement would depend entirely on your performance during the interview. The companies would be invited but only software based companies visited the campus. Core companies were very less in number.
Placements: If you want placement, it's the best university. However, you will learn nothing except enjoyment. If you want to enjoy in the batch, you will find no place like this. TCS, Wipro, Accenture are bulk recruiters here. Nearly 30 companies came and took placements when I was studying there.
Placements: They were good for the IT and CSE branches, but not much for others. Actually, you can say it is none for a few branches. Overall placement percentage is like 70%. The highest is 6 LPA and the lowest is 1.5 LPA. Only software and a very few core companies come. About internships, we find it ourselves after the 3rd year with no stipend.
Placements: This year, the placements are going very good. Microsoft careers have selected 14 students for associative software developers @ 9.78 LPA and Mu-Sigma took 6 students at 21 LPA of 3 years of bond for Analyst, Delloite took 24 students for Analyst @6 LPA and core companies like Maruti, Bosch, etc. also took students from Mechanical, ECE, EEE departments. Many start-up came this year and are believed to come more and TCS, being the mass recruiter took over 550+ students at 3.3 LPA.
It is a waste of money. Faculty is not worth enough. No education push will be given. Management is not at all planned. We were an integrated course which was abandoned in the fourth year. There were no placements in the college. I would not recommend this college to anyone.
This is my opinion about this college especially on CSE department. I done my M.Tech here the worst faculty I have seen in my entire student career. They just came for money and torture students. Teaching 3-5 classes per day will be a big burden for those people. I am not blaming all the faculty 50-60% faculty are same they just came for money not to educate students. So my suggestion is do not join in GITAM for M.Tech especially in CST. For M.Tech they bring only one company, TCS only. Only B.T...
Good college with good facilities. Located in the proximity of the city and easy to travel however travel arrangements by the college are poor. Campus is beautiful even though it’s crowded (now). Courses and infrastructure are average but not up to the standards when compared to similar competitors. Same is the case of placements, companies take in a good number but the amount of companies that visit and the restricted opportunities to students is absolutely a blunder being made and the pit fall...
Students get treated like they are high school students. Our hostel was pretty good, but by the end of our 4 years, fee became unreasonably high, food almost inedible and restrictions frustrating. I would call any graduation college that restricts its hostel residents to leave the campus after college hours a terrible one. I've met many students who were very innovative and creative, but most of them received no support from the college, of course credit will certainly be claimed. Campus life wa...
The greenery and the cleanliness of the campus is what caught my eye first. The only thing which many of us did not like is, that the faculty does not encourage students’ participation in extra-curricular activities sports events. Our college is fest is great and unlike those of other colleges.
The college has average faculty, lab equipment is good and a nice infrastructure. Here only software and business related job opportunities are provided. It is hard to see a core company coming for recruitment and have rules like if one gets placed in one company then one cannot sit for any other placement.
GITAM is the best college for engineering. Particularly, it’s civil Engineering. And Computer Sc. depts. are among the best in the Andhra. There are lots of activities for overall personality development. I study Civil and we have the best of renowned and dedicated faculty. The whole curriculum is designed to provide flexibility to choose among interdisciplinary subjects. Its huge 50acres of green campus provides an awesome range of facilities & infrastructure for sports & fitness for a meagre f...
Classrooms are good and spacious and also have central AC, but the AC is never switched on even during hot summers when the temperature is around 45 degrees. Placement records are good and most of the companies give less package of about 3-5 lakhs per annum. The faculty members are good with good communication skills and interaction.
First I am in awe due to its infrastructure built in 84 acres land and 10 stored building with Air conditioned rooms but the ACs don’t work. It has a vast playground, indoor stadium and largest library in whole. Faculty is dull with teacher's mostly completed their M.tech from the same college itself but the placements from major IT companies like TCS, Wipro and Accenture with 3.25 lacks/annum package occurs.
Infrastructure is good, but due to the massive increase of seats year after year, the quality will definitely go down. It was good till my batch, but from my junior batches onward, the seats are increased and also the fee hike every year is huge. The campus is becoming messy and crowded. The hostels are very good though.
The atmosphere of the college campus is good. One can learn many things. But there are no proper standards in the quality of education they provide. Might be sufficient to get placed in mass recruiters like TCS,WIPRO. Not good enough for people who are thinking of getting recruited in companies like microsoft, amazon.
