Q:   How effective is the placement cell for BBA courses at Graphic Era University?

    A:
    {Source: BBA students & alumni}

    Placement Cell Effectiveness

According to students' reviews, the placement cell at Graphic Era University (GEU) is generally considered effective:

    * Good placements: Many students reported receiving job offers from reputed companies, with an average salary package of INR3.5 LPA.
    * Multiple company interactions: Several companies visited the campus for recruitment, including Hitachi, Admit Card, Wipro, and start-ups.
    * High demand for graduates: Despite the economic downturn, the placement cell managed to place over 75% of BBA students.

Some notable achievements mentioned by students include:

    * the highest package: INR12 LPA
    * Internship opportunities: Provided by the college, although some students also pursued self-funded internships

However, some students noted that placements might vary depending on individual performance and skill sets. Additionally, while the placement cell seems effective overall, some students expressed concerns about the lack of transparency in the selection process.

Overall, the placement cell appears to be functioning effectively, providing opportunities for students to secure jobs and gain valuable work experience.

    Absolutely satisfied with Graphic Era.
Placements: In the batch before mine, many of my seniors were placed in TCS, Oberoi Group, Tech Mahindra, and other top-notch companies. The college also offers various internships on campus, and many students get the chance for internships abroad through the university.
Infrastructure: Graphic Era has a very vibrant campus equipped with laboratories and Wi-Fi. The ecosystem of the college is friendly and accessible, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming; I didn’t feel like an outsider when I joined the campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are really helpful during class times and exams. They treat us like friends and are always ready to help. Most of the faculty hold PhDs or are pursuing them. They are very supportive of our decisions and motivate us for certain tasks.
Other: Graphic Era organizes its annual campus fest, Grafest, along with various other events like Dussehra, Republic Day, Independence Day, Janmashtami, Navratri fest, Dandiya nights, movie nights, and many more.

Satisfied because the faculty is really amazing, well-qualified, honest, and punctual.
Placements: About 50% of students are placed on campus. The highest package is 14.5 LPA and the lowest is 2-3 LPA. Companies include Infosys, Byju's, Kotak, HDB Financial Services, Q Conneqt, and Cognizant. For internships, the college has tie-ups with local firms, and some students got internships in companies like TCS and PwC India. I don't have any idea about this because my plan is to pursue an MBA after BBA.
Infrastructure: There are labs that we need, and classrooms are well maintained. The library is good; it has a wide range of books and magazines. I live in a PG, so I don't have personal experience of the hostel, but when I take reviews from my college friends who are in the hostel, they are not satisfied with it because of the mess food and restrictions.
Faculty: Teachers are honest and punctual, well-qualified with a good understanding, and they also understand students' concerns and try to help them. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant; there are some subjects that feel not relevant, but still, it's part of the curriculum. Semester exams are moderate. You need 40% for not being detained.
Other: I want to go into consultancy services; that's why I chose this course. Some subjects aren't relevant, and internships are available in the first year. It is one of the best colleges for events and fests.

I feel very nice to graduate from this college.
Placements: I think in my year there were not many placements due to a recession in the industry, but before me, there were very good placements in my course; 30% of people got placed. Also, the package was pretty good as a fresher in BBA, and I feel like the college provides placements if you are worthy.
Infrastructure: I used to go to college from my house, but some of my friends stay at the hostel. By looking at it, it feels like the hostel facilities were also good enough, and the college infrastructure is very big; it can give space to many students. Also, there is everything for your sports needs.
Faculty: The faculty was very nice and polite to us; they always clear doubts of students. They also complete the syllabus on time to help students for their future, and the course curriculum was designed on the basis of the industry. It's not too lengthy but good for understanding.
Other: I chose this course for my future, and I also think that this course has potential towards my career.

Universities having a lush green campus and have a average placement and mediocre faculty
Placements: Nearly 1000 students take admission in our university for BBA from which only few students are placed. The highest package for BBA in our university was 8 lacs per annum, average package offered is 3 lacs per annum, the lowest is 1.90 lacs. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, Accenture, Meesho. The percentage of internship that the students get from the college is literally very low I can't tell. Roles offered are for sales, marketing, finance etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is totally good, bus facilities is provided to students. The library, labs are fully equipped with strong wifi connection, proper sanitation facilities, quality of cleanliness is high. For hostel all facilities are provided on time. The quality of food is average nor so good not so bad. In canteen all types of food is available. Total canteen are three and others are truck shop for coffee, patties etc. Medical service is provided on time. One clinic is out there in University and if the condition get worsen the students are admitted to the university's owned hospital. Games are played at national levels, state level games are played. Competition is organized for inter University.
Faculty: Teacher are helpful, most of the faculties are PhD holder and knowledgeable too. But the teaching quality is not as expected. All teachers are theory oriented. Curriculum is not relevant, this will never make the students industry ready. Semester exams are not that much difficult, the passing percentage is 70.
Other: I got interested in business to boost my knowledge so I took admission in BBA but it is not that much helpful to gain me business skills. Best thing about my course it is not tough. Things to improve in my course are that it should be practical oriented approach. Annual fest is organized, GRAFEST it is really breathtaking and enjoying. Celebrities like Ayushman Khurrana, Neha Kakkar, Badshah, Divine visited the college. Connectivity is really good 1 km away from Wellmed hospital,500 MTR from KFC, and 8 km from clock tower. Extracurricular includes dancing, sports, arts competition etc.

    BBA short and crisp update.
Placements: This year particularly, not many mass placements happened, but there were qualitative placements. The highest package was above 10 LPA, and the average is 5-6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Zomato, Swiggy, and others. This time, the highest package from campus was 13 LPA from Zomato.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the labs are available on every floor. There are three libraries for the students, but the space is limited, and it's first come, first served. I am not a hostel student, but there are several hostels at the university, and buses are provided from the university to the hostels and vice versa. Interactive sessions are held to keep students engaged with their alumni.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful toward the students and very concerned, especially in the placement department. Alumni of the university come to take classes for BBA/MBA students to check their progress and motivate them. They definitely help make students industry-ready. The exams are moderate, but the back exams are ten times harder than normal exams.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue an MBA. I believe the labs need to be improved, which the university has already started to address. There are many fests conducted at the university, among which the most famous is GRAFEST, and others like Daksham, which is organized by MBA students and is full of managerial activities.

Review of Graphic Era Deemed to be University.
Placements: Students should get more than 60% in their classes 10 and 12. The highest package is 7.1 lacs, the lowest is 2.5 lacs, and average is like 3 lacs to 4 lacs. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, TCS, and Deloitte. 20% of students get placements in marketing .
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite good, & infrastructure is all branded. Things are good Wi-Fi facilities available, & labs, classrooms, and digital screens in college have all these things. Hostel facilities depend upon students and how much they want to pay for room service.
Faculty: Teachers are only helpful in studying; otherwise, they are not helpful in other things. Teachers are highly qualified; they are CA, CS, and Ph.D. holders. Curriculum is old; it doesn't make the students industry-ready. Exam difficulty is moderate. 40% is the passing percentage.
