    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

    Based on the student reviews, here's what we've gathered:

    Pros:

    * Helpful and cooperative faculty members who are always willing to assist with queries
    * Good infrastructure, including modern buildings, temples, canteens, and auditoriums
    * Opportunities for internships and placements in reputed organizations
    * Strong presence of NGOs and industry connections
    * Experienced professors with high-quality teaching skills
    * Well-equipped libraries and separate departmental libraries
    * Free Wi-Fi and a centralized library
    * Green campus environment
    * Affordable hostel fees (Rs. 3100 per month)

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities, especially for Integrated Programme students
    * Salary packages offered might not be competitive (up to Rs. 2.5 LPA)
    * No practical training or hands-on experience provided
    * Older hostels with weaker infrastructure and poorer food quality
    * Electricity cuts during rainy seasons due to lack of generators
    * Shortage of teachers, mostly on contract basis

    In conclusion, while Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya offers several strengths, including supportive faculty and modern infrastructure, it falls short in terms of placement opportunities and salary packages. Therefore, we would recommend considering these factors before making an investment decision.

    Note: It is essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully and consider individual goals and priorities when deciding whether to invest in a degree program.

    Guru Ghasidas University Review .
    Placements: The strength of my class was 75. A maximum 100 seats were available. Many NGOs are recruiting the students of B.A. Hons. Political Science. Many students got internships in content writing and many other roles—content writers, NGO managers, political influencers, and many more—were offered in the course.
    Infrastructure: Every course has its own department and the buildings were huge and hygiene was always neat and clean. Also, lifts were there for disabled students. The campus has a temple, a hygienic canteen and a huge auditorium for every programme. Also, it has many small shops of amul and nescafe on every road.
    Faculty: The faculty was so helpful in every situation and area of study. The curriculum was specified and everything was done under that curriculum. Exams were taken semester-wise. The timing for exams was from 2pm to 5 pm. The faculty does the invigilation with loyalty to their work.

    Our college has good infrastructure and teaching quality.
    Placements: Around 80% of students get placed in good political organisations. Political science is the best for teaching like history, economics, social work, etc.
    Infrastructure: The quality of hostels provided for boys and girls is very good. Hostels are near the campus and located in the central area. There are strict rules for boys and girls.
    Faculty: Professors in our college are experienced. The teaching quality is the best. They clear the doubts of the students if needed.
    Other: Our college has different departments like political science, history, economics, zoology botany, biotech, etc. Our campus is full of greenery.

    The university is in its developing phase.
    Placements: Placements in our university are not much good as the university is still in its developing stage. The university has a placement cell, and it is still trying to provide placements to B.Tech students. For B.A., they try to contact NGOs for internships for students.
    Infrastructure: The university has a good library, and the hostel facilities for B.A. 1st semester students are good, but after 1st year, the students are shifted to different hostels whose infrastructure is not good. The buildings are of old times. You may have to suffer from electricity cuts in rainy seasons, and there is also no generator facility available in hostel.
    Faculty: Teachers are well qualified but only for a few departments. There is a shortage of teachers, and most of the teachers are on a contract basis, who are currently teaching us in the first year. They are not permanent ones. You can find teachers from different states here.
    Other: I chose the course political science and this university because of its name as it is a central university of Chhattisgarh, and Chhattisgarh is my hometown.

    I am absolutely dissatisfied as there are no placements provided.
    Placements: Department of journalism and mass communication arrange placement and the salary package will be not more than 2.5 LPA. They provide no practical work and no placements.
    Infrastructure: There are 4 hostels, 3 for boys and 1 for girls. Around 2 boys hostels are new with good infrastructure but the food quality is poor. The monthly charge is Rs.3100 for food. Swami Vivekanand old hostel is full of restrictions with weak infrastructure and poor food quality. Hostels contain Wi-Fi facilities. Girls hostel is also full of restrictions after 6 pm you cannot go out of the hostel.
    Faculty: Teachers are good. Some teachers take classes regularly. Around 75% attendance is mandatory.

    I am satisfied with the faculty members.
    Placements: At GGU, placement offers are not provided for integrated programme students. Even if any placements are conducted, only a few students get placed in companies, but the salary packages offered are not good. However, the scope is high for government jobs in this course. Students can become economists, bank managers, academicians and many more.
    Infrastructure: The campus is good and has a hostel facility as well. Here smart classrooms are not available, but Wi-Fi service is provided to students and faculty members. The atmosphere on the campus is nice. Departments are separated by buildings of their own. There are a canteen and a central library.
    Faculty: The faculty members here are not only qualified and experienced but also helpful. The course is theory-based and contains concepts which are explained very well by the faculty members. Sometimes, practical examples are also provided to clarify the tough concepts. The teaching quality is very good here.

    Overall a good experience.
    Placements: There is no placement offered by the university. As our course mainly focus on theoretical aspect than its mathematical aspect, so do not expect any placement here. Teachers are well qualified and a good sum of students enrolls here every year.
    Infrastructure: University is installed with a free Wi-Fi all over the campus. Library is also having a good sum of books but most of them are available in Hindi. There is a free bus service available for the students. Cafeteria, hospital and gym facilities are also provided by the university. There's a lot of greenery in our campus which creates a Eco-friendly atmosphere.
    Faculty: The best thing I found here is such a helpful and cooperative faculty, the teachers are always ready to solve our queries whether it is related to syllabus or anything else. Apart from that each department has its personal library. For practical experience they once took us for economic survey in nearby rural areas which was a good experience for all of us.
