ICT Mumbai Course Admission 2025: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses, Fees

Some of the entrance exams that a student can write to get into Institute of Chemical Technology course admissions are as follows:

• JEE Main: JEE Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate Engineering programs in India. ICT Mumbai considers it for B.Chem.Engg and BTech admission
• MHT CET: MH CET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the MSBTE for admission to undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses in Maharashtra. This is considered for admission to BTech, BPharma and B.Chem.Engg.
• GATE: GATE is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to postgraduate engineering courses in India. This is considered for admission to MTech, MPharma and M.Chem.Engg. at ICT Mumbai.

The eligibility criteria for each of these exams varies. Hence, candidates are required to check the same. To apply for admission, fill out the online application form and pay the application fee.

For the 2022 academic year, the cut off was 51899 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Food Engineering and Technology in Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. To be eligible for M.Tech at ICT Mumbai, candidates must have passed a relevant UG degree with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA for the backward class candidates). A specialisation-wise course requirements at the undergraduate level is shown in the table below:

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 26027 and closing rank was 31570. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 0 and 0. Admission to Bachelor of Chemical Engineering in Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Oils, Oleochemicals and Surfactants Technology at Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai other than General category are - 79204 for OBC, 79204 for SC, 79204 for ST, 79204 for EWS, 79204 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
