MAH MBA CET Marks vs Percentile Calculation

Given below is an example of MBA CET percentile calculation shared by the State CET cell explaining the process. In the below table, it is assumed that the MAH CET exam has been conducted on three days and single batches.

Q:   I have scored 96.81 (109 marks) in MAH CET. Which are the good colleges that I may get in the CAP round?

A:
First of all congratulations on your success. Good colleges in Pune by CET are only PUMBA and Indira. For PUMBA you require minimum 99 percentile unless you fall in some category which can help in admissions. You can try colleges which fall into top 5-14 ranks and it would be better if you compare percentile from last year data. May you please tell me if you fall in any category like MU, OHU, AI and so on so that I can tell you more accurately.

Q:   What's the cut-off for PUMBA in CMAT and MAT? What is the placement criteria in PUMBA?

A:
The Department of Management Sciences of the Savitribai Phule Pune University (also known as PUMBA or Pune University MBA), the MBA admission process for Maharashtra is conducted through DTE, Maharashtra. You can visit the following site for further information http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in. You can get admission in PUMBA on the basis of MBA-CET score or any of the National entrance exam for MBA like CAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc. The cutoff is usually more than 97 percentile. PUMBA offers two courses after graduation i.e. MBA+ & MBA-Pharma Biotechnology.

Q:   Which colleges can I expect in CAP round as I have got 95.77 percentile in CET (All India category)?

A:
As you belong to All India category, it is very difficult to get a good college in Mumbai. Lala college closed at around 96.5 percentile last year. The only college which had a cutoff lower than 95 Percentile was MIT and Indira which closed at 93.5 percentile. I would suggest to avoid these colleges and if you can, please give the entrance exams again and aim for better colleges.

Q:   I got 90.3 percentile in MAH CET MBA exam. Which good colleges can I apply for (not from Maharashtra)?

A:

Congratulations on achieving a percentile of 90.3 in the MAH CET MBA exam! With such a percentile, you have a good chance of getting admission to reputable MBA colleges outside Maharashtra. Here are some well-known colleges you can consider applying to:

  1. Indian Institute of Management (IIMs): The IIMs are premier management institutes in India. They have campuses in various locations across the country, such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, and others. Each IIM has its own admission criteria and selection process, so you can explore the ones that match your preferences.
  2. Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur: XLRI is one of the top management institutes in India. Known for its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme, XLRI offers a highly regarded curriculum and excellent placement opportunities.
  3. Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University: FMS is one of the oldest business schools in India and offers a highly competitive MBA programme. Known for its academic rigor and affordable fees, FMS is a sought-after choice for MBA aspirants.
  4. SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai: SPJIMR is one of the leading business schools in India. It offers a diverse range of programs and is known for its innovative curriculum and emphasis on experiential learning.
  5. Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon: MDI is a reputed management institute known for its quality education and industry-oriented programs. It offers a variety of courses, including a flagship Post Graduate programme in Management (PGPM).
