IIITDM Jabalpur offers great college life with academic excellence and opportunities for growth.
Placements: The highest international salary package offered is 122 LPA. The highest domestic salary package offered is 110 LPA. Over 90 companies made more than 284 offers. The institute allows students to go for project-based internships with a 6-month duration for practical exposure to the corporate working culture.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is quite good. We have academic office building, well-designed lecture hall, tutorial complex, computer lab and library with well-equipped features (like computers, Wi-Fi, books, etc.). Open-air theatre, student activity centers, and playgground are available on campus. There are enough options, we have enough options to eat food. We have canteens in each hostel, besides that, there is a Nescafe shop, Amul shop, Domino's, grocery store, etc., all operating inside the campus until night. About hostels, all of them have LAN connections (sometimes they do not work). There is an Allahabad bank inside the campus. What I liked is we have various footways and roads. The whole campus has tight security, and a lot of security guards are always on duty.
Faculty: Most teachers are highly qualified with deep knowledge in their fields. But, students complain that they are unable to understand sometimes (just like in all other colleges). Curriculum is relevant according to different branches. Academic curriculum and active technical clubs of the college make active students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult. Students who are regular in classes can easily get through them with good grades. Here, a relative grading system is followed, and grade F is considered a fail.

Dissatisfied with infrastructure, but the placements are very good, so you ignore the other defaults
Placements: Almost 80-90% placed. Highest of 110 LPA,Lowest of 3 LPA,Average of 18 LPA. Top recruiters: NVIDIA, Accenture, Oracle,Atlassian, Deloitte, etc. Almost 50-60 % got the internship in companies like Google,Amazon, Accenture, etc. The internship recruitment will be fully done online. There will be very few companies that will come to offer internships. But you can apply off-campus for the internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided are Central A.C. in classrooms, labs, and libraries. But, in hotel rooms, there will be no A.C. Students have to buy their own cooler with the permission of the warden and have to pay the current bill. Food in the mess is avg(both veg and non-veg). In the first and second year, students have to share the room with 3 other students, and from the third year, students get their own single room. Every hostel has its own canteen, but only the second year’s canteen has food quality that is nice, and non-veg food is also available. There is a Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) present in the college with an ambulance facility 24/7. There are many sports clubs available, and students can have their own choice to join the club.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable here, and all are qualified to teach here. The teaching quality is excellent. Teachers are very helpful; students can approach them and can clear their doubts anytime. The course curriculum is very relevant to the respective disciplines, and this curriculum is helpful to make students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the exam varies from exam to exam, but overall the difficulty is moderate.
Other: I chose this course because firstly I have no interest in learning coding, and as the present trend is going towards the semiconductor industry, I chose the ECE course. But in this ECE course also, if you want to go towards the coding side, it’s very easy there as there is a separate club dedicated to improving the coding skills of the students(The Programming Club). Also in my course there are a lot of classes in the second year as compared to other courses;if the classes are less it will be better and the facilities in the lab also should improve. In this college there will be many fests as there are many cultural clubs available in the campus. But the fests will be very small compared to the fests in IITs. The Campus Crowd is very good and the connectivity is very nice among the students here, but the campus surrounding is not nice as the campus is located on top of a hill and in the middle of a forest;you have to travel 10 kms to reach the city.

The faculty at the College is highly supportive and dedicated to student success.
Placements: IIITDM Jabalpur for CSE provides a great opportunity for students to secure placements in reputable companies. Numerous companies offer attractive packages based on the students' performance. Some of the top recruiters include Adani, Adverb, Amazon, American Express, Atlassian, BHEL, Bajaj Auto, CRED, Dolat Capital, and many more. The highest package offered in CSE is 52 lacs, while in ECE it is 82 lacs, and in Mechanical it is also 52 lacs. The median package stands at 17.78 lacs, with an average of 21.72 lacs.
Infrastructure: The college boasts an impressive infrastructure with a sprawling 300-acre campus. The hostel rooms are spacious and equipped with 24/7 Wi-Fi, offering good internet speed. The classrooms are not only spacious, but they also resemble parliamentary chambers. Additionally, the college houses a decent library.
Faculty: IIITDM Jabalpur boasts a highly qualified faculty, with almost every teacher holding a Ph.D. degree. While some instructors excel in their teaching abilities, others fall short. The student schedule is demanding, with frequent quizzes and semester exams occurring almost every month. However, passing the semester is not overly challenging, as self-study is sufficient. Maintaining a minimum attendance of 75% is mandatory, and the passing percentage ranges from 90 to 95%.
Other: I have chosen this course due to my passion for working with computers as well as its esteemed reputation for the future. My goal is to find effective ways to enhance student understanding in this field. While the campus can be crowded, there are numerous events that bring a sense of fulfillment. Additionally, scholarships are available. However, it can be challenging to find time for extracurricular activities, which is a drawback.

Good campus life and placements, but there's a lot of pressure.
Placements: The Placement cell of our institute helps us get placed in various companies in India and abroad. The average placement package is around Rs. 20 to 25 lakhs per annum, with the highest package crossing over 1 crore this year. Many top companies recruit from our campus.
Infrastructure: The well-designed infrastructure of our campus consists of the LHTC for conducting lectures and classes. There is also a Computer Centre for lab sessions and seminars, along with an administrative block for all the main administrative work. It consists of six hostels for students to stay.
Faculty: The faculty is very experienced. They conduct lab sessions to help us gain practical knowledge. The faculty is friendly and teaches us the latest technologies for extra knowledge, conducting regular tests and exams for the continuous evaluation of students.

Very good college; studies-wise, it's simply superb.
Placements: Many students are present in our CSE branch compared to other branches, and the average package here is 18 LPA, which is quite good. The minimum package may be 10 LPA, and the highest is 50 LPA. It's our wish to do internships.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are very good, and the library is too good compared to other colleges. I liked the classrooms and labs very much. Nowadays, Wi-Fi is not proper as we are living in a forest area, and we do not get a good signal. The mess food is terrible; it's very bad.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful. They have done their PhDs in famous IIITs and have a lot of knowledge. They teach us practically, and we don't need to overstudy what they say; they explain it very clearly, and we are able to understand it.

Decent placements, average to good infrastructure, almost no fest culture.
Placements: The 2023-24 placement season at IIIT Jabalpur concluded successfully, with 65% of placed students securing packages above INR 10 LPA. The highest domestic offer reached INR 110 LPA, while the top international package was INR 122 LPA, with three students receiving international offers. The average package for undergraduate students was INR 19.27 LPA, and for postgraduate students, it was INR 12.54 LPA. A total of 284 offers were made during the placement drive, with participation from over 90 companies.
Infrastructure: The faculties are okay, and the infrastructure of the classrooms and labs is pretty much good as it's only been 15 years since the college started properly, so the infrastructure is maintained. Hostels are better than most of the old NITs; three-seater rooms come with enough space, personal wardrobes, and electricity is almost 24/7, though there can be faults. The canteens and other food stalls are there on campus to provide you with your cravings; the mess is okay, not really good but alright. There are around 14 sports clubs, and the clubs are handled by the students; one can choose the sports according to their interest.
Faculty: Both good and bad faculty can be seen, but overall, at the end, it's up to you. The syllabus and curriculum are alright but can be tough to get a good CGPA compared to the rest of the colleges or NITs. At the end of the BTech, one should have a CGPA of 5+ to be eligible for the degree; otherwise, to sit for good placements, one should have around a 7.5 CGPA.
Other: Well, to be honest, there is no culture in the college if you expect exciting fun events happening in the college; this is not the place for it. Most of the IIITs have no culture to host fests and events; although festivals are celebrated on a good scale over here, you can't expect people to come here to perform. NITs are much better to go for that.
