It is an excellent college for studying agriculture with very good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: From the last few years, not a single private company came here for placement. If you want to do a private company job, then this institute is not for you. It is the premier institute for research in agriculture. Students get various government jobs in various posts like scientists, assistant professors, etc., after completing their M.Sc. or Ph.D. Many students get AFO (Agricultural Field Officer) and various other banking jobs with a good salary.
Infrastructure: As it is the premium institute of India in agriculture, the infrastructure and hostel facility is very good. It has a Wi-Fi facility on the entire campus, with high-quality scientific labs, classrooms, and a very good library facility. The quality of food available in the hostel is very good within a reasonable charge of around Rs. 3,500- Rs. 4,500 per month. There is a health center offering medical facilities for students. The playground is very big with facilities like cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, athletics, etc.
Faculty: Teachers here are very good, helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. The course curriculum is very relevant and dynamic, focused on practical problems. You have to read very seriously to pass the examinations as the questions set up for the examination are very good in standard. The pass percentage is around 6.5 CGPA out of 10.
