I am dissatisfied because of food and location of the college, but it is good to be an IIIT student.
Placements: Placements are ongoing in my college, with 40%-45% of students placed so far. The highest salary package offered was19 LPA by Oracle, and the lowest salary package was 3.6 LPA by Infosys. Top recruiting companies include Oracle, TCS, Infosys, Dell, BigBinary, and many others. For internships, only 3 to 4 companies are coming, such as Oracle, Dell, and Deshow. Very few students, around 5% to 10%, get internships with these companies. Most students are placed in web development and AI/ML roles in my branch.
Infrastructure: My college's facilities and infrastructure are average, not that great, but okay. Wi-Fi facilities are good, labs are fully equipped, and most classrooms have smart boards, but the infrastructure is old. Hostel facilities are not good due to the old construction, and the mess food is very bad. However, the canteen and medical facilities are available on campus. There is a large ground for cricket and football.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is average because, last semester, there was a shortage of teachers, and Ph.D. students taught us. Curriculum is very old. Semester exams are easy, and not very tough, but there is competition for CGPA.

Comprehensive College Review.
Placements: In our course, 85% of the students were placed. The highest package was 26 LPA (CE). The average packages were CSE 10 LPA, IT 10 LPA, CE 12 LPA, and EEE 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Media. Net, Zscaler, Oracle, TCS, Deloitte, Infosys, etc. Approximately 45% students secured internship, with 29 on-campus and 98 off-campus internships. The top roles offered were in AIML, deep learning, web and app development, and blockchain.
Infrastructure: Our college is equipped with essential facilities and infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, well-maintained labs, and good classrooms, though not all classrooms have air conditioning. The library, while extensive, is not open 24/7. The hostel facilities are decent, offering basic amenities, and the quality of food in the mess and canteen varies, being good at times and average at others. Medical facilities are reliable, with doctors available from a nearby SUM hospital. Sports infrastructure supports major sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and basketball, encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle for students.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are generally helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, contributing positively to the learning experience. The course curriculum is relevant and designed to equip students with industry-ready practical skills and up-to-date knowledge necessary for the current job market. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 35% for theory and 50% for labs.

I reviewed my college 3 out of 5 Faculty 4/5 placement were decent from 2015.
Placements: About 90% of students were placed in our college. The highest and lowest packages are about 30 LPA and 10 LPA. The top companies visited on our campus were Oracle, Amazon, and Media.Net, Zscaler, and Dell. About 50% or more of students were placed in our college.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our college were very good, and in the summer, having big rooms for conferences and good connectivity in labs and classrooms was good, and the big library was fully AC and had one large reading room in it. Hostels provide hot water in winter for bathing, and medical facilities are good. We have a personal doctor in our college to check up on every student.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very smart in their field and subject; they teach very well, and the teaching quality was excellent. Yes, CSE is the branch that deals with computers in the software part. After the degree at IIIT Bhubaneswar, you get a good amount of salary and placement in our college. Semester exams are a little bit difficult; the passing marks to pass the exam are 35 out of 100.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in knowing about computers, and the best thing about this course is that along with the knowledge, you will also get placed in a good company. One thing that I wish would be better is the lab classes, since they will help all the children gain more knowledge about coding. Advaita is the main festival of our college; GC is an event where all branches of the college compete in different kinds of sports, and there are so many societies too, like the teaching, cultural, DC, and sports societies. Scholarships were given to Odisha students by the Odisha government.

Brief report on IIIT Bhubaneswar and why I'm disappointed.
Placements: According to the recent report of the last 7th semester, the highest package received was 26.5 LPA from the Computer Engineering branch and the highest package from CSE stands at 19 LPA, although there have been rumors that one student may have gotten 59 LPA from CSE in the 8th semester. According to the 7th semester report, around 140 students were placed out of around 350 students. The top recruiter for the past few years has been Oracle.
Infrastructure: The hostel is average; it is cleaned every day by the staff, although your room status depends on how you maintain it. Wi-Fi in the old hostel is pretty fine but in the new one it is almost negligible; you have to buy your own, and even the authority may uproot it for a few days depending on their mood but the higher authority allows it. The new hostel is super clean, even the rooms. Medical staff are available almost every day from 5 PM to 7, and a gynaecologist also gives a visit every week. The nearest hospital is just 4.5 kilometers away. Sports facilities like cricket, football, badminton, tennis and even basketball are provided by the campus, but the utensils may not be. Students could ask for utensils, but since most of them only play cricket, badminton or football, it is not necessary. Classrooms were supposed to be A/C but most of them aren't; it only gets hectic in the humid summer of Bhubaneswar. W-Fi in a classroom depends on its location. The canteen provides average food but the mess is absolutely the worst. Sometimes insects are found in food and chairs are a common matter; even the authorities won't deny it. There have been talks about improving it in the next academic year and an email about it has also been circulated. The library is good only for academic topics and if you're interested in literature or other scientific knowledge, you have to find it on your own.
Faculty: The teachers are generally not helpful, although they are quite qualified and knowledgeable but they can't or maybe don't want to transmit the information to us. In my opinion, the teachers are below average but it is also undeniable that few teachers are great, whether they are Ph.D. scholars. The curriculum is relevant if you want to be a software engineer, developed or computer scientist in the 2000s. The academic pressure is high, guidance is negligible, most mentors don't respond, and seniors are the only hope. Most of us won't get industry-ready due to the high academic pressure on irrelevant studies and proper soft or hard skills. The semester exams are standard but sometimes a few professors give questions that are out of context, I would say. Although it's rare, the way they check is a real disappointment; some just won't give you the marks, no matter how hard or how well you write. The pass marks are 35 out of 100 and 10 out of 50 in end-semester exams; passing is not a hard deal here but keeping a good GPA is.

Satisfied with the faculty and placements, okay infrastructure and bad mess food.
Placements: 100% of the students of the 2023 batch were placed and the placements for 2024 batch are still ongoing. A good amount of companies visit the campus. For the 2023 batch, more than 40 companies visited for 350 students. The lowest package was 6 Lacs, the highest was 39 Lacs by media. Net. Companies like Oracle, Siemens also hire from our campus. The average package for IT branches is 9lpa and for electronics it is 7.5lpa.
Infrastructure: The library is equipped with all the necessary books. The mess food quality is bad and the number of items on the menu is very low. We have a great fest and sporting facilities are also good. The college has a gym and a dispensary. The Wi-Fi is fast with an average speed of 100 mbps.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. Almost all of them are from IITs. The curriculum is also up to date. The college offers a lot of electives that are in demand in the industry. The level of semester exams is moderate and it's not too tough to pass.

IIIT Bhubaneswar in a nutshell.
Placements: Placements are decent; this college is known this much for its placement only, as the number of people placed for the number of people applied for placement is very high. But the highest salary only goes around 25 Lacs, the average is around 10 Lacs, and the majority gets placed in lower packages.
Infrastructure: I am not going to say much about infrastructure because there isn't much to talk about it, but there are labs for every subject required for the course, and all are functioning, just not very modern. The infrastructure in hostels is quite bad, and it may become a problem for new students.
Faculty: Faculty members are decent; some are good, some are bad, but average experience is good. The curriculum is almost the same as other colleges, so there's no difference in that. The exams are a little tough here, and the exam environment is very strict and disciplined.
