    A: 

    Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech in Product Design and Management (PDM) are required to have a valid score in GATE/ CEED/ PGEE exam. For all other M.Tech specialisations available at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, qualifying PGEE is the minimum requirement. IIIT Hyderabad offers M.Tech across four specialisations, namely CSE, Computer Science & Information Security, Computer-Aided Structural Engineering and Product Design and Management.

    Q:   How can I pursue M.Tech from IIIT Hyderabad?

    A: 

    In order to get admission to IIIT Hyderabad for MTech, students are required to apply via PGEE, CEED or GATE exam for different M.Tech specialisations. Eligible candidates who qualify these exams are offered admission. To be eligible for all M.Tech specialisations, candidates must have passed BE/ BTech/ ME/ M.Tech (all branches), BArch, MArch, PG Degree in Science/ Mathematics/ IT/ Computers/ MCA. Additionally,  at least one year of industry experience in Product Development is required (Waived for fresh graduates with Product Design internship experience - especially ICT-related products) for PDM specialisation.

    Absolutely satisfied with the college and course. Placements are really good.
    Placements: A good number of students got placed in the course. The highest package will range from 15-20 LPA and the average package will be 7 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are TCS, American Express, IBM. The developer role is the top role that is being offered in the course.
    Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available are really excellent. The quality of food and the medical facilities are really good. There are multiple grounds that are available for different sports like cricket, basketball, badminton etc. The computer labs are at the next level.
    Faculty: The quality of teaching is really good and the faculty is with good experience. The course is completely relevant and definitely, it makes students industry-ready. The exams are completely dependent on the student performance and the pass percentage is really good.

    Review of IIIT Hyderabad - International Institute of Information Technology.
    Placements: Almost 100% of the students from our course got placed. The average salary package offered was 15 LPA. About 50% of the students got internships. Top recruiters for our course are Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Google, App Dynamics, Apple, Nvidia, Samsung, Walmart, Adobe, etc. Roles offered here are a data scientist, software developer and front-end and back-end developers.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided for our course include Wi-Fi facility, which is available only in academic block, classrooms and library but not in hostels. Ethernet facility is available in the hostels. There are 4 messes with different food menus, and they are repeated weekly. Non-vegetarian is also available on 2-3 days in a particular mess. There are 3 main canteens with food and all types of juice facilities, and there are also a few stalls for other food items. Sports are not much good, but table tennis, pool, basketball, lawn tennis and volleyball courts are good. The gym has all the basic machines, but the temperature is high. The physical training course is a must for B.Tech students.
    Faculty: All the faculty members here are highly qualified, and the teaching quality depends on students like I enjoyed a lot of courses and learned a lot. The course curriculum contains much assignment pressure like if a task requires a minimum of 7 days work, then you will be provided a time of 2 days to do it. So that students can perform beyond their limits, and this makes them industry-ready.
    Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in information security and like to pursue it through masters, but I didn't get good security part at the end. However, I learned other things like game designing and machine learning as we were allowed to choose courses as per our interests. The security part of the course should be improved by providing the course with practical aspects of security. Right now there is a lot of theory in it, but none of the applications of the industry has discussed. The campus is less crowded compared to other colleges, but the location, connectivity and surroundings of the campus are awesome. Annual fest named Felicity organised here is not much popular event among other colleges of Hyderabad, but this year the fest organised was amazing. Regular events are organised by students, and our college organises regular workshops, seminars and talks on research. Sports tournaments are held every year like inter-house competitions and inter batch competitions.

    The fee structure is high, but I am completely satisfied with the college.
    Placements: The placements provided in our college are great. A lot of companies visit the college to offer placements. But, the only disadvantage is, the college charges 8% of the basic salary from the company, and because of that, a lot of start-ups are not able to offer placements to the students in our college.
    Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available for 24 hours with great speed. Lawns are perfect. The library is open from 9 AM to 12 PM, and the timings are extended during exams. Some labs are open for 24 hours, while some are open until 2 AM. In short, the infrastructure is great but not as IITs. The campus is very clean and well-maintained.
    Faculty: The faculty members are very talented. Almost everyone is a PhD holder. The course curriculum is very well-designed by the institute. It is a research-based college. So, no industry exposure is provided, but you are a research student, you can have many advantages.
    Other: Students who work as teaching assistants get the stipend.

    This is one of the best tech-schools in the country.
    Placements: The college has a 100% placement record. Major product based companies like Apple, Microsoft, DirectI, Code Nation, Tower Research, etc., visit the campus to conduct placements as well as training. The average salary package offered for the previous batch was around 15 LPA, and the highest package went up to 30 LPA.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is top-notch with greenery all around, making the campus perfect. The quality of classrooms, labs, etc., is very good. There are four canteens namely, South Mess, North Mess, Yuktahar and Kadamb, and they provide many varieties of food.
    Faculty: All the faculty members in the institute are PhD holders and masters in their domains. They are always ready to help the students irrespective of academics or research work or projects. There are various choices for students in choosing the subject in which they are interested and the field they want to research.
    Other: The hostel life at IIIT-H is amazing, and there are no restrictions regarding the timings.

    Awesome place to study, learn, explore and get the fruit of your hardwork.
    Placements: Placement was awesome. The highest was around 45lacks and average was 15 Lacs. Same with the senior batch. Companies visited google microsoft apple indeed uber direct etc. Hundred % placements for last many years. For computer Science it comes under top 3 institute in india.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure was great. Good sports facilities. Awesome library. Very nice cafeteria. Very hygienic hostel rooms and common rooms. Tt table in each hostel. Gym facilities is their. Very good mess. Students have options to choose between 4 messes. All mess have different menu.
    Faculty: Faculty is very good and very friendly to their student. Course curriculum is as per the industry need. Teachers use all the modern technology no teach their student from projector to blackboard. Nice assignment and very well evaluation methods are used to keep th students on their toe.

    Review of IIIT Hyderabad - International Institute of Information Technology (IIITH).
    Placements: Placements are provided according to students knowledge and hard work. Most of the student got placements by their project. Motivation made them achieve, and seniors got higher placements in elder countries. More than 60% of our seniors got better placements in better companies.
    Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like classrooms, technical labs, workshop, library and many more useful things. Facilities provided are too good compared to others, but food will disappoint some times, but it is common in every college. Labs and workshop are the best I have ever seen. So, join this college.
    Faculty: Faculty members are always there for students. They are awesome, and there teaching makes students understand, but some teachers teaching will be boring. Some teachers are good, and some teachers are average. According to me, this is better to be in with this faculty. Most of them are knowledgeable and highly qualified, so this will help students much more.
    Other: Extracurricular activities are encouraged as much as studies, and scholarships are given according to their marks. Many events are organised every year, which also introduce students with new culture and communication.

    There is a merit-cum-means scholarship offered by the State Governments such as Pratibha Scholarship by the Andhra Pradesh Government at IIT Hyderabad. Following are the avenues for such assistance:

    • The institute's alumni have set up a fund to assist successfully admitted students based on their financial condition. However, it is offered on a pay-it-forward basis
    • State Bank of India (IIIT branch) assures an SBI Scholar student loan to a candidate who secures admission at IIITH for up to INR 20 lakh. Also, one can avail of the loan even if the family of the applicant has other existing loans

    Q:   Does IIIT Hyderabad offers PDM course?

    A: 

    Yes, PDM is offered under the M.Tech specialisation. It is a 2 year Masters program. An applicant to this programme is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Design/Science or Equivalent (4 year programme after class 12) or Masters degree in Science/Computer Applications (2 year programme after 10+2+3) with a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade. The course shall focus on ICT technology oriented product design and management. Hence candidates who apply are expected to have at least 1 year experience in product development (especially ICT related products). Some exposure to design is preferred (engineering design or hardware design or industrial design) but not necessary.

    A: 

    IIIT PGEE stands for International Institute of Information Technology Postgraduate Entrance Examination. It is an entrance test conducted by IIIT Hyderabad for admission into MTech, MS and PhD programmes. IIITH PGEE 2024 will be conducted in May 2024, tentatively . The IIITH PGEE 2024 application form will be availble from February 2024 to April 2024, tentatively. PGEE is a computer-based exam.
