A:

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc. Programs at ITM University

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what we've gathered:

* Placement Rate: Around 30% of students get placed in top companies such as Infosys, Wipro, and HCL.
* Internship Opportunities: About 70% of students secure internships in the same companies, providing valuable industry exposure.
* Training Program: The university offers a comprehensive training programme before placements, which helps prepare students for interviews and professional life.

While the overall placement rate might seem relatively low, the university seems to focus on providing opportunities for its students to gain practical experience and develop skills that are valued by employers. However, more effort could be made to increase the number of placed students.

Here's a summary of the key takeaways:

* Placement Rate: 30%
* Internship Opportunities: 70%
* Training Program: Comprehensive training programme before placements

By highlighting these points, we hope to provide a balanced view of the placement cell's effectiveness for B.Sc. programs at ITM University.

There are better ICAR accredited colleges now available in India.
Placements: Almost 40-50% of the students got placements. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was- 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Rentokil and Reliance. According to the qualifications and experience of the students, companies offer good salary packages to students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is poor, and the availability of classrooms is not proper. All courses are conducted in a single building, but classrooms are good for UG students. Labs are well-equipped and accessible to students. The canteen is average according to me.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in our sessions. Teaching quality is also good and they are supportive. Exams are not that tough to clear but students have to study otherwise they won't give marks. Passing percentage is 30%.
Other: Because of ICAR accreditation, I got admitted to this college. That is the only reason most of the students get admission to ITM University in agriculture.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture - Batch of 2025

For this batch, I would not recommend this college.
Placements: 60-65% of students got selected, with 4-5 LPA being the highest package in agriculture. Top recruiters include Rentokil. Internship opportunities are available for 40-50% of students. While the campus may not be visually impressive or expansive, companies do visit in good numbers for agriculture.
Infrastructure: The labs are well-equipped and easy to access. The hostel room is good, but the food is average, and sports facilities are very poor on the Sitholi campus. The canteen facilities are average. The college offers a solid educational foundation, particularly in the field of agriculture.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, but not for every course. Semester exams are tough to handle, but the faculty is supportive, providing a functional environment for students. The agricultural program is well-regarded, with experienced faculty and practical coursework that gives students hands-on experience, which is crucial in this field.
Other: In our session from 2021-2025, faculty members were well-educated and supportive, and the ICAR accreditation was provided. However, currently, teachers are not as qualified, and there are 3-4 other colleges offering ICAR-accredited courses for students, so it might be better to consider those options. ITM University is now very overrated for admission. When we were in the 2nd or 3rd year, the college was quite good, but the labs are still well-maintained.

The infrastructure and campus environment are good.
Placements: About 60 percent of students were placed, with the highest package of 8 LPA and a minimum package of 2.5 LPA. Top companies like SEED manufacturers and fertilizer companies participated. About 60 percent of students secured internships, with top positions offered, such as general manager.
Infrastructure: The campus has good infrastructure and maintenance across many departments. There is a free medical check-up for students at the campus hospital. Well-designed digital classrooms and a central library are part of the campus facilities. Students are actively engaged in sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful and qualified. The semester exams were a little challenging, with a minimum pass percentage of 40. The institution provides apps for digital learning with a well-structured syllabus. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry.
Other: There were numerous extracurricular activities that are beneficial for students' lives, along with frequent events and festivals.

B.Sc. in Forensic Science - Batch of 2026

A good college with everything nice - faculty, people, environment, and a lively campus.
Placements: In my forensic science course, a total of 30 students were admitted in my batch. The lowest package offered was 3 LPA, and the highest was 10 LPA. Both government and private companies recruit us, and about 90% of students secure internships, lab assistant roles, and many more positions in my course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of ITM is top-notch and appears very expensive. Wi-Fi is provided, and there are spacious libraries with AC and personal computers for students to work on. All the labs are spacious, and classrooms are good. In the hostel, the food is average, but the canteens are great. The hospital is 1 km away from the hostel, and all facilities are provided.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and great at assisting students. The curriculum is also nice, providing all the necessary information and knowledge. The semester exams are not that hard; they're average, and everyone can pass them easily. It prepares students for the outside world and industry, with knowledge that is very relevant for future use.
Other: I chose this course due to personal interests. I wish there were more choices for side subjects. The fests and events are great.

I would recommend joining this college for your overall development.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Around 30% of students got placed in our college. Our college provides good placements compared to other colleges. It conducts a good training program before placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is good. The hostel provides good food. It has very strict timing. Boys must enter the hostel before 7 pm. Girls must enter the hostel before 5 pm. Our college provides 24X7 security, electricity, and water.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful. They have done their PG. They are doctorates. The course curriculum is run by ICAR. Exams are very difficult. You don't get time for your assignments because the curriculum is very difficult.
Other: Our college is good for education and enjoyment.

ITM University B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture.
Placements: In B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, there is very low chance of getting placement just after completing B.Sc., but you can get placed and get an average package of up to 3 to 4 Lacs per annum. You can do an internship from college itself or from outside, but majorly I have seen internships of theoretical knowledge, and you have to pay for the internship. It is mostly organized by college professors or from some government university.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, it has greenery everywhere, and the campus is also a little bit. Labs are also good. You can easily access the library by just your ID card. In the hostel, you get a bed, a study table, and a balcony. I think that is good enough. Food quality is also good. The college has its own hospital, so you can easily access medical facilities, you just only need to pay medicine charges.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable and have good teaching ability. The curriculum is given by ICAR, so the college doesn’t play any role in your syllabus. We have 2 exams every semester: 1 midterm and 1 end term with practicals. The exams are not that much difficult. Almost all students pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I belong to an agriculture family, and I got interest in it. College is more focused on theoretical than practical. In the 1st year, we never visited any field, so that needs to improve as it is a totally practical-based course. The college organizes many fests, and sometimes some singers and actors also come. You can't get any type of scholarship from the college, you can get it from your state government.
