Jadavpur University review.
Placements: JU has one of the best placement cells. Students work hard to attract companies. Top MNCs like MAANG regularly visit our campus. The average salary package offered by the circuital branch is 15 LPA, and the non-circuital branch is provided with 10 LPA. Our placement rate is almost 100%. This year, the highest salary package offered is 1.8cr.
Infrastructure: As a T1 engineering college JU lags here, and the infrastructure isn't as good as it should be. Some buildings need renovation and some need new construction. Hostels are decent some doors are broken there isn't capacity for all students in the hostel and it isn't air-conditioned. There are Wi-Fi and library facilities and also indoor and outdoor games facilities available.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly educated but some of them aren't very student friendly. We have to write the same thing in the exam that they taught in their class or give notes. Course curriculum is also very orthodox like there are many irrelevant subjects taught. Missing labs give a year lag. But the good thing is JU has no compulsory attendance policy.
Other: The main highlight of JU is its campus life. The amount of freedom we get here is tremendous.

Honest review of our college.
Placements: Our college placement structure is excellent. The college provides students with opportunities to prove themselves, and the placement cell goes above and beyond to secure those opportunities. Some companies have very different criteria for hiring.
Infrastructure: The campus is nice. The canteen food is very good, but the price is too high. The hostel is pretty average. Overall, it is a good college when we consider all the factors.
Faculty: The semester is supposed to last for six months, but it only lasts for four months. Also, the semester guard and the external teacher are very rude and don't help students in the exam hall.

Your perception wouldn't ever be the same if you visit the college once.
Placements: The English department doesn't provide placements; rather, we can get recommended by professors, which might take us a long way. Being aware of the lack of it, the students are proactive in their approach—always seeking out opportunities and internships; the interdisciplinary nature of the department allows students to pan out in areas of filmography, journalism, curation, art, philosophy, writers, teachers, critics, even in mathematics if they choose to, founders of organizations, and much more. Our curriculum makes us very vocal and aware of some key factors for leadership and heading on in life.
Infrastructure: We have free Wi-Fi across campus, along with departmental libraries that are stocked with relevant books, journals, and articles. We have a central library and two other common libraries, which total around 40 libraries. Our classrooms have AC with projectors and boards. Hostels are very much up and running, but since I have not availed of them, I cannot vouch for their quality. So far as the campus is concerned, canteen food is quite decent, and the market outside the gate is booming with food stalls and other daily essentials. Sports is well practiced here, as our university actively ventures out to represent in many areas like chess, football, mountaineering, and hiking.
Faculty: The professors are extremely qualified and passionate about what they teach and are very expensive in their lives. This course curriculum is as relevant as it can get, being the first curriculum in post-independence India to have a post-structuralist and anti-establishment syllabus critical for coping with the current capitalistic and branching world so that we can have our own stand with valid philosophy. This approach is crucial for the "industry," as progressive and youth-led organizations, which are the future of this industry, are nourished by these qualities. The semester exams are very tricky, and it's difficult depending on how regularly one has attended classes, read the recommended material, and gone beyond the curriculum.
Other: I chose this course to be a professor in this field, and it was the right choice because of the unconventional and progressive curriculum topped with excellent professors. Interacting even with peers can provide a lot of connections and networking, as no one is sitting still and is active well outside the curriculum and campus. Same goes for professors. We have seminars, displays, debates, dramas, festivals, and calls from other institutions to perform all the time. Apart from that, we have our annual fest Sanskriti three times a year, along with some other fests held by the engineering faculty members.

Best in terms of value for money, placement is the best after IIT KGP in West Bengal.
Placements: More than 95% placed last year. Good companies like Google, Accenture, PwC, Visa, Oracle, and TCS visit our campus every year. The average package last year was 12 LPA. The highest package was around 50 LPA, and the lowest was 3.36 LPA. More than 40% of students got internships last year. But recently, top product-based companies have stopped visiting our campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so satisfying. It's average. But the labs have the necessary equipment. If you want to come to the university to study only, then it could be your best choice. There are departmental libraries for every department, and they consist of the latest books. There is a central library, and there is a digital library too. 24/7 free Wi-Fi service is available. The hostel is cheap, and the food is fresh and good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and most of them are graduates of IITs and IISc. They are very polite and caring. You can contact them every now and then. The curriculum mainly focuses on GATE. Many students get PSUs and good IITs after graduation.

Jadavpur University where the dreams come true.
Placements: The placement offered by the university is amazing. Various giant companies come here, like Google, Facebook, etc. The highest package is 2.4cr per annum, the lowest is 6 LPA, and the median is about 12 LPA. About 70 to 80 percent of students get placement through the placement cell.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is very lavish and nicely decorated with current technologies. All the current happenings are taught to us to survive in the current times. The classrooms are also well decorated with modern teaching aids. Hostels are also available for those in need, and the food is good. Gym, sports activities, and club activities are also available, and most of them are free.
Faculty: The teachers are really well-educated and knowledgeable, and they always try to show the right path to the students. This course curriculum is completely relevant and makes us industry-ready. Semesters are not very tough, but they are quite challenging. The pass percentage is 40 percent for theory subjects and 50 percent for sessional subjects.
Other: I chose this course because it helps me think, and I think it is nutritious for my brain to grow because this subject needs creativity. I think the work environment should be better for this course. There are lots of events like Turn Sanskriti, Teach Fest, etc., that happen throughout the year.

I think my department is easy and provides very good placements.
Placements: Our department students are almost 80 percent placed in our course. In our course, the highest package is 12 lacs, the lowest is 6 lacs, and the average package is 9 lacs. The top-recruiting companies in our course are Mkelly Biotech Pvt Ltd. and AgriVision4Upvt. Ltd. 60 percent of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Our department facilities are really good because there is available Wi-Fi, a digital library and a large room. The class room is so unique. Our department also has a library and a central library. Our hostel is so good here; there are 2 people per room, Wi-Fi is available, food is good and, to mention, hygienic.
Faculty: All our teachers are so friendly; they all helped fully; they are all Ph.D. holders and have five to 10 years of experience; and there degrees are almost all very good. Our department is not the most difficult; during the exam semester in our department, almost all students pass. The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: I want a B.Tech course, then ranked WBJEE and a chance at this course. And I know this university has very good teaching and placement.

The university shortlists candidates for M.Tech course admission based on GATE scores. Thus, a merit list can be released by the university to indicate the cutoff marks. Aspirants with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks are selected.
