Addressing KISS students, he praised the efforts of Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, of KIIT & KISS for setting up such an extraordinary institution. In order to better serve the state's tribal populations, Shri Soren declared his wish to build a comparable organisation in Jharkhand. He claimed that since Jharkhand lacked a facility of the calibre of KISS, it would be possible to address the Naxal issue as well as numerous other issues pertaining to tribal people.

He counselled the pupils to use the opportunity to work hard and with determination towards their objectives. Shri Soren declared on this occasion that he would give KISS his entire income for one month. When she saw how many students there were at KISS, his wife, Smt. Kalpana Murmu Soren was astounded. You have travelled so far from the village to reach KISS, she replied in response to a question from one of the children. You may undoubtedly accomplish your objective with the help of KISS teachers and creator Dr Achyuta Samanta. She gave kids the advice to remain confident at all times. Speaking during the event, Shri Sukhdev Singh, the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand, claimed that KISS is an empire rather than an institution. Without it, such a facility could not have been established.

Odisha Chief Minister Inaugurates KISS Kalahandi Residential School

June 17, 2022: The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) 'KISS-Kalahandi' Residential School was launched by Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on Friday.

Badli, in the Bhawanipatna Block of the Kalahandi District, now features a large eco-friendly and Wi-Fi green campus.

"I am overjoyed to have officially opened the KISS campus in Kalahandi district. I'd want to express my gratitude to Dr Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT and KISS. While inaugurating the campus, the Chief Minister stated, "Kalahandi has converted into a new education centre."

KISS has been opening schools across the state to give high-quality education to children from low-income families. He went on to say that KISS graduates are succeeding in a variety of industries.

Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and MP Kandhamal, remarked in his welcoming address that KIIT developed the KISS-Kalahandi campus. It required a Rs 50 crore investment for land and infrastructure development in a built-up area of 1,20,000 sq.ft, as well as the installation of a mechanised kitchen, a 25-bed hospital, furniture and fixtures, and other facilities on the 10 acres of land.

KISS-Kalahandi, like KISS-Bhubaneswar, is a completely free residential school. In the initial phase, the school will enrol 1,200 students in grades one through twelve, providing quality education to Kalahandi District's poor and vulnerable tribal children. During this event, Dr. Samanta announced that a 200-bed hospital will be built in Kalahandi on behalf of KIMS.

KISS to Become Knowledge, Logistical Hub of FIFA’s ‘Football For School’ Initiative

May 19, 2022: FIFA has chosen to enhance its relations with the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar and strengthen cooperation in the 'Football for School' program in Odisha, as well as explore chances to spread it across India and South Asia.

In this context, Youri Djorkaeff, CEO of the FIFA Foundation, and Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KISS, have signed a letter of intent. According to a release, the pact "broadly sets out terms for both organisations to commit to researching avenues of potential jointly" – specifically regarding the expansion of the Football for Schools initiative, which is now active in 10 FIFA Member Associations.

The FIFA CEO stated at the signing-in event that KISS was chosen as the nodal agency for the development of football because of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's strong emphasis on sports and sporting activities in the state.

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and FIFA announced the beginning of India's first-ever FIFA Football for School Program in October of last year.

The most recent advancement aims to elevate the relationship between FIFA and KISS, a KIIT member. KISS will serve as knowledge hubs for Football for Schools training and logistical hubs for Football for Schools ball distribution, according to the letter.

With 30,000 residential students and another 30,000 studying on satellite campuses, KISS is the world's largest entirely free residential school and university for indigenous children. It has already offered a platform for numerous athletes with cutting-edge facilities and has produced the largest number of Olympians in Indian sports history.
