Review of Smt. Allum Sumangalamma Memorial College for Women.
Placements: Above 60% of students got placed in my course. Recruiting companies were NIIT, SSIT, KPTCL, Jindal etc. Various courses like B.A, BBA, BCA, B.Com and B.Sc. are offered. 50% of students got internships from our course in Jindal, KPTCL, NIIT and SSIT institutions and companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, with advanced chemistry and biology labs. Mess and canteen are available in good condition. Sports and games are not much available. Every classroom is equipped with LCD projectors. Well-equipped libraries are available. Audio-video teaching aid and support enhancements are also provided.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. The curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready and confident to face competitive exams. Teaching quantity is very efficient and effective with fluency in English and Kannada. There were educational tours that give you new goals and ambitions.
Other: The best part is the biology lab sessions and chemistry experiments. Above all, the environment is eco-friendly to study on campus.

Opportunities are quite amazing if you have an eye to catch them.
Placements: The opportunities provided for placements are very good for students. Job opportunities in retail, factories, industry are there. The salary offered are good for freshers. The top recruiting companies are Arvind lifestyle, angadi alleria, Tommy Hilfiger etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good and this year it is renovated, laboratories and classrooms are also good with required materials provided for practical classes. The library is also good with amazing fashion related books. Classrooms are fixed with a projector for teaching.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and clear our doubts, we get opportunities for creative minds, teachers are well experienced in the fashion field and their subjects, they are qualified and very helpful in teaching syllabus and even outside the syllabus, practical visits for industry are done.
Other: I chose this course because it was my passion.

Good college with great teachers .
Placements: Nearly 20% of students are placed; that's it and an average package of 3 LPAs is offered. The companies that are hiring our college students are Wipro, Mahindra, and TCS. But the opportunity did not come for all the students and that is the drawback of the college.
Infrastructure: Well environment and good CS labs with a good laboratory and library and there is good maintenance in the washrooms and college surroundings, and the staff is well taking care of campus and even the canteen. The food was good, according to my knowledge .
Faculty: Teachers are available at any time and they are so patient and they will explain multiple times. Timely completion of the portion is done and they will repeat the tests and internal exams to prepare the students well, solve their problems and improve their understanding .
Other: There are so many cultural activities and sports for the students .

Good source of knowledge, don't judge a book by its cover.
Placements: My all seniors are placed in good brands. The average salary is also good. We get all international brands for placements. We will be working as fashion consultants, visual merchandising, stylist, personal shopper, merchandising. Internship is made compulsory.
Infrastructure: Though the infrastructure is not that big it is sufficient for fashion field. All required materials for all the practical (pattern lab, textile dry and wet lab) classes are provided and maintained well. We are provided with design studio for boutique setup and photo shoot.
Faculty: The experience level of teachers are very high. The teaching quality is very good. All teachers are available even after college hours to respond. The teachers are very helpful and teaches us out side syllabus also. I feel fashion show can be added in first semester than 5th semester.
Other: I am good at drawing. Fashion show can be added in all the years

Get opportunity to go to PARIS to learn many things about FASHION.
Placements: I am studying in the final year and the placements have just started. The top companies coming to campus are Arvind lifestyle - fashion consultant, Tommy Hilfiger - fashion consultant, personal shopper, so designs - production, designing, merchandising and more.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good and clean. Sewing lab machines are easy to use and well maintained. Benches and infrastructure are good and renovated. In the library all books are available. The campus is also good with parking facility available. There are labs available for the practicals.
Faculty: Teachers are highly professional, they are good and caring for each student. They take personal care for all the students. Teaching is good. We are trained for internship, guided by faculty members for reports making. We are made industry ready by industrial visits.
Other: I chose this course because I love fashion and clothing. All extracurricular activities are conducted in campus.

Students can gain extra knowledge and creativity from this college.
Placements: As I am still in 1st year, only basics about the placements and internship classes are given. The salary package offered and other details would be given to us the second year. The role offered is for designing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. We have 6 classrooms, 7 laboratories, draping lab, design studio, pattern lab, sewing lab, textile dry lab and textile wet lab and CAD lab. A library is also available on our campus. The parking area is also provided in the college.
Faculty: Teaching quality is very good, and the teachers are very helpful in practical classes and also in pattern making. They all are qualified and knowledgeable. Internships are provided in the third year after the fourth semester. Overall, it provides good teaching.
Other: I opted this course to explore more about fashion and to be a good fashion designer. Fest, spectrum week, ethnic day, freshers day, fashionista, sports days are held at our campus.
