Kuvempu University is one of best universities.
Placements: Around 30% of students get placed. The selection is based on marks obtained by an undergraduate. The seats were of two types, merit-based and merit cum payment based. We can get all the information about the application from the official website. There are certain reservations for other university students, NCC, NSS and sports quotas. The admissions are held in the respective departments by a counselling process.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good, and the availability of food is good. There are 5 girls' hostels and 2 boys' hostels. Each hostel differs in terms of facilities, but the fee for every hostel is the same. In my hostel, there is an attached washroom to the room with 4 students sharing a fan and tables. But some hostel rooms have separate fans, tables, and wardrobes, but not washrooms. The menu also varies from hostel to hostel. The food quality and taste are also different in every hostel. After admission, one should apply for a hostel also. The hostels are very affordable. They are a couple of PGs outside the campus, which will cost around 5,000, or you can get a room for rent.
Faculty: Wildlife is one of the developing fields in life sciences. Faculty members are experienced and have huge knowledge in the field. Each faculty member specialised in specific topics. All the faculty members are Ph.D. holders, so they have immense knowledge about the subjects. Their teaching methods are effective. Approximately every six months, we have semester exams, and we have two internals every semester. The subjects are not so difficult if study well.
Other: There is an annual fest conducted by the university named Sahyadri Utsava. It is held for 4 days. Many cultural activities are held, and concerts are arranged. Kuvempu University has the best library, and one can get almost all the books of academics and non-academics. The classrooms are spacious and smart. The university has an indoor sports stadium and also an outdoor stadium. There are many college accounts on Instagram run by students.

Other: My college experience has been okay. I live at home so my experience is a lot different than people that live on campus or in off campus apartments. The dorms cost more than tuition and I live a 15 minutes away so it wasnt worth it to me. Two of my friends lived in them and they both ended up moving back home at the beginning of the second semester. They werent what they expected and found them to be difficult living situations Friends: My best friend since preschool also lives at home and that happens to be right down the street from me so I spend a lot of time with her. But I have made a few friends that I hang out with sometimes. Idk if they will be lifelong friends but I have a great time with them, Parties: Im really not into partying so I couldnt really tell you much about the parties at my school. From what I have heard, people throw pretty awesome parties and it seems that is all anyone talks about. Areas of study: I am a biology major and I plan to go to medical school after I graduate. Ill probably go to the medical school in Reno too. Its a pretty good school and SUPER cheap for Nevada residents. Travel: Im going to study abroad next year. Im probably going to spend the year somewhere (that is why Im living at home, to save my money for this) Im really excited :D Teachers: Most of my teachers have been pretty good and I got all A's and B's last year. I did have one awful teacher for Eng 102 and I ended up failing that class (over half my class failed) she was actually not allowed to teach in California anymore because she is such a bad teacher. So i am in summer school now retaking that class and I am getting an A. ratemyprofessors.com will be your best friend when deciding your schedule Interesting Things: I can’t really think of anything. My experience has been very boring. College was a big adjustment for me. I was not used to the amount of work i would have to do. I went to a good I high school that was named one of the top 500 in the country and I still found it to be a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. The schedule was hard to get used to also. I was used to having 2 hour classes back to back but in college you usually get into whatever class you can when you are a freshman and I ended up with 5 hour breaks in between classes and i was unable to go home because of gas prices and traffic so I had to hang out in the library or nap in my car. If you live on campus its not that bad, but if you dont it is hell. Evening classes were a big adjustment and I hated them. Be sure to remember that this is supposed to be an academic experience, not a social experience. Do not get caught up in partying and social events because it is easy to fall behind and professors do not care about your excuses, you will just fail. With that said, do have somewhat of a social life because you will go insane if your life only consists of school.

Good and green university. I am satisfied with our department and University facilities.
Placements: The university takes students who have scored 60% or above. Students learn programming languages like web development. Graduates work as full stack developers, guest lecturers at the university, or pursue higher studies.
Infrastructure: The labs were well-equipped, and the campus had Wi-Fi. The digital library was great, and the hostels and food were okay. There was a canteen facility on campus, and indoor sports were available in a room and on a big ground. The college also had a hospital that provided free checkups for students. The library was stocked with books for all streams, and there was a separate library for SC/ST students.
Faculty: The teachers are highly skilled and knowledgeable, and the department is student friendly. The course curriculum is relevant, and the course makes students industry ready. Students should also learn new skills. Semester exams are better, and the pass percentage is 55%.
Other: Sahyadri utsav, was a festival organized by the university. The campus has a good environment, and each department celebrated an ethnic day. The university is within walking distance of interesting places like the Bhadra Dam.

It is a good college to study in.
Placements: Our college provides excellent education. But there are only few placement opportunities. Top recruiting companies visited our campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was excellent. Our college had many departments, from B.A. to B.Sc. in undergraduate studies and M.A. to M.Sc. in post-graduation. Classrooms are good. Labs are well equipped. Sports and games are good. The hostel facilities are good.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. There are around 150 permanent faculty members and 150-200 guest lecturers. Semester exams are difficult.
