Internships and jobs from semester 5.
Placements: I am in the 5th semester. Internship drives are going on in our college. More than 50% of students got internships and job offers. They have joined it. The salary packages are performance-based. Everyone gets a stipend for the first few months. The internship period is for 6 months. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. The lowest stipend offered is Rs. 3,000-5,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Ahmedabad-based companies. Top roles offered are Python developer, Java, frontend, backend, full-stack, mern-stack, salesforce developer, BDE, B.A. QA, etc.
Infrastructure: All facilities required for engineering college are available like labs, Wi-Fi, classrooms, a library, etc. All facilities are air-conditioned. The infrastructure of the college is quite good. The building or campus is not very huge. It has a wide parking facility. There are many gardens with a fully green campus, a canteen, and a tea pot. Our college does not have a hostel.
Faculty: Teachers know every student personally, so they can help you to improve yourself. Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable in our college. The teaching quality and focus on teaching is what make our college different from others. Teachers are even ready to teach you after lectures if you have doubts. In the 5th semester, students are fully ready to work in industry. Semester exams are not very difficult as we have exams every month so we can easily manage and learn all things. The pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: One batch has only 30-35 students, so you can focus more. Our college celebrates festivals with full enthusiasm. Teachers provide scholarship information in groups whenever it starts. Sports events occur every year.

B.E. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2025
Offered by L.J. Institute of Engineering and Technology (L.J.I.E.T)

I am satisfied because of academics and campus life.
Placements: Placement opportunities in our course are moderately good. Around 80% of students in our batch got placed. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 3.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 2.4 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are Tatvasoft, Odoo, and startups. They offer interesting roles. About 40% of students got internships. However, there is limited diversity in job roles, with most positions being for software development or IT support. The placement cell could improve in attracting more varied companies and core-sector roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college for academics is decent. Our classrooms are spacious but lack modern teaching aids like smart boards in most rooms. Labs are well-equipped. The library has a good collection of books and online resources. The campus Wi-Fi is reliable, though connectivity issues occasionally arise during peak hours. One of the significant drawbacks is the absence of a hostel, which poses challenges for outstation students. Many students struggle to find affordable and safe accommodation near the campus. Additionally, the campus lacks a centralized canteen, making it convenient for meals, as students rely on outside food vendors. While the sports facilities, such as the football ground and a gymnasium are good. The lack of basic residential amenities limits the overall student experience. The college should prioritize building a hostel to address this issue.
Faculty: Faculty members in our course are experienced and knowledgeable. Most teachers are approachable and explain concepts clearly, though a few rely heavily on theoretical teaching rather than practical applications. The curriculum is reasonably relevant. It covers essential industry topics, but it could be updated to include more hands-on experience and recent advancements in the field. Exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of around 85%. They focus more on written learning than application-based evaluation. Continuous internal assessments help students stay prepared.

Good infrastructure but facilities are not maintained.
Placements: A huge amount of students start this course in early August; they offer from a minimum package like 10,000 to huge packages like 200000. There are companies like Reliance, Toyota, Infosys, etc. Almost every student gets an internship from our college. AI designer, network engineer and many more are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: There are labs, classrooms and Wi-Fi facilities in our college, but maintenance, I would say, is not much of our expectations, and the library is there, but there aren't any useful sources there, but it's still pretty good enough. The quality of those facilities does not match your expectations again and they fill more students than the number of seats they have in labs so some students have to make efforts to share their computers with others. And there aren't any sports-related subjects or any events on monthly occurrence present at the time.
Faculty: There are both types of teachers there, to be honest; some are super geniuses, and some teachers I don't understand why they are even there. I mean, I won't say they are not knowledgeable, but they don't know how to teach. Even if you are knowledgeable, that doesn't mean you can teach, right? This course is relevant but the books and syllabus they are using is very backwards and very old I don't even think it's even useful in this era. Exams are not difficult if you pay attention to teachers and learn from your assignments and notes; you will not fail at all, and there are unit tests that make it easier.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in IT and this university is near my house. If their management was a little better and the level of teachers they got there were properly interviewed and they just don't fill any students they see, it could be way better. The thing is, even if a teacher is teaching well, some rural areas students interfere a lot in class. If they come from a local place and they are too annoying and very offensive, if you get a word or two from them, they think it's all cool to interfere in class. Events and fests—yes, there are many of those but not for our building. I don't know for some reason, the only event for us is that Diwali event, which is once a year.

If I wish to stay in Gujarat and have a great campus life.
Placements: Recently, our seniors started bringing companies for placements and internships. The batch that graduated in 2024 got placed. I got an internship in my second year, and it was paid well enough. I gained hands-on experience in real estate law.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility. Different types of tournaments are held, both intra and inter-college. As our college is a part of Gujarat University, we have coaches for different games, and students get selected from our college for state and international-level games.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced and qualified. About 75% of attendance is compulsory. There are two exams in each semester one is internal and one is external, held by Gujarat University. but, attendance rule is very strict, if we have 74% we don't qualify for internals.

There is a student who wants to achieve something big in their life.
Placements: There is no proper percentage for placement of students, but most students get placement from our college. There is an opportunity for internships in the first 2 years of studies. The average package for students is 6 Lacs per year, and the highest is 12 Lacs.
Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure in the college. The college is not clean. The weather and environment are good. There is no noise pollution from outside the college. There is a good, relatively healthy environment for students who want to study regularly. All the computer labs and other technical equipment are available at the college.
Faculty: There is good faculty. They are very responsible for students. They are always there to help and teach them. They give their best for the students. There are internship opportunities so students get ready for the next generation and are prepared for a job.
Other: I selected this course because there is scope after 4-5 years of studies in college, and there is a chance to give your best and get ready for the next phase of life to improve yourself and others. Some events are happening here, but I am not sure if there will be fixed events in the year or month. However, some events are there.

Overall I am satisfied with my college but the infrastructure and facilities are not good.
Placements: Around 75-80% of students got placed according to my assumption with the highest salary package offered ranges between 6 LPA - 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Recruiting companies are small companies and startups. Roles offered are software develops, business development executive, and other internships like UI and UX.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are okay. There is no Wi-Fi and not-so-good classrooms and libraries. Hostel facilities are not provided in this college. The canteen is the worst thing in this college. Sports and games are allowed after college hours only for the students.
Faculty: Faculty members are good but usually very stubborn about what has been written in notes and not very friendly. The course curriculum is good but they do not provide choices of subjects to students. Exams are the best part as there are 4 exams of 25 marks each that is no mid-semester and end semester.
Other: Only one event or festival is conducted every year. There are no extracurricular activities in this college. There is no connectivity with the city. It also provides good scholarships from the state government.
