The modes of IIT Gandhinagar admissions are online and offline. Admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. For admission to the MSc programme of IIT Gandhinagar, IIT JAM 2024 Application forms will be available for the aspirants to fill out from September 5, 2023. IIT Madras,  the examination conducting body of IIT JAM 2024 for the academic session 2024-2026 recently activated the IIT JAM 2024 official website and also released the information brochure and IIT JAM 2024 Web poster.

The information brochure mentioned the start of the online registration for MSc courses in reputed IITs and NITs from September 5, 2023. The last date for enrolling oneself for the IIT JAM 2024 examination is October 13, 2023. If the number of applicants for the IIT JAM 2024 examination is less, they might extend the last date of filling up IIT JAM 2024 application form.

No,  JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIT Gandhinagar are not out yet. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification. • BTech students must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) via the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 625 and INR 325 for girls.
• MTech students are required to register for GATE through the official website of GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) (appsgate.iitd.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,500 and INR 750 for girls.
• For MSc, candidates need to register for IIT JAM through the official website (iitr.ac.in). The application charges for others is INR 1,800 for other and INR 900 for female (all categories)/ SC/ ST/ PwD for one test paper.
• For MA and PhD, students are required to apply via the official website of IIT Gandhinagar. 

Candidates willing to get into IIT Gandhinagar must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria set by the accepting exam of the course, a student is interested in, or the college-level set eligibility. The admission cycle of IIT Gandhinagar for the flagship BTech course generally commences in the month of December with JEE Main registrations. However, the same for M.Tech begins in the month of August for the next academic year. The eligibility requirements for IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) did not involve a minimum percentage or marks in Class 12 for the majority of participating institutes. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM are largely concerned with the bachelor's degree and the minimum marks or CGPA necessary to secure in that degree.

Candidates for the IIT JAM must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate or 5.5 CGPA/CPI. Apart from it, candidates also need to submit a physical fitness certificate at the time of admissions. Candidates seeking admission to IIT Gandhinagar must meet the basic eligibility for the course which is a UG degree in any stream. Candidates seeking admission to IIT Gandhinagar for MSc are shortlisted based on their IIT JAM score followed by CCMN counselling. Additionally, they must also fulfil the miimum eligibility criteria set by the institute for admission. The same is as follows:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately.
