Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Bengaluru Scholarships and Funding
MAHE Manipal offers Freeship, Scholar and Achiever scholarship to meritorious students admitted to the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Bengaluru.
Scholarship Guidelines:
- Minimum Eligibility Requirements: 80% aggregate of Mathematics + Physics + Optional subject (as per selection criteria) in 10+2 from the recognized Board
- Minimum 8 CGPA & above, with no backlogs in Semester 1 of the BTech program
- Freeship & Scholar category Scholarships put together, constitutes 5 % of the GENERAL category intake for each branch and is applicable for the entire program duration, starting 1st year of the program
MET Rank Range:
1) Freeship: 1 - 100
2) Scholar: 101 - 5000
3) Achiever category Scholarship
1) Freeship:
The Freeship scholarship involves 100% of the Course fee payable. Candidates are required to pay the full first year course fee including Refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 at the time of seat allotment / before the deadline specified for payment of full first year fee. Candidates admitted under Freeship category will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books etc.
2) Scholar:
The Scholar scholarship involves 20 % waiver of the Course fee. Candidates are required to pay the full first year course fee including refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 before the deadline specified for payment of full first-year fee. The Candidates admitted under the Scholars category will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books etc.
3) Achiever:
“Achiever” Scholarship constitutes Top 5 % of the general category intake (excluding Freeship & Scholar scholarship students) for each branch and is applicable at the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year based on the annual academic performance of the immediate previous year i.e. 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year respectively. There will be NO scholarship based on the performance in the final year.
MAHE Manipal awards Merit Scholarships to meritorious students admitted to
- Dept of Commerce (DOC), MAHE Bengaluru
- Dept of Liberal Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (DLHS), MAHE Bengaluru
- Dept. of Public Policy (DPP), MAHE Bengaluru
All Candidates who fulfill the following criteria are eligible for Merit Scholarship:
-Candidates having marks ? 85 %, ? 100 % will be offered 20% of the scholarship and it will continue in the subsequent years if the candidate is passed in all the subjects
-Candidates having marks ? 70 %, < 85 % will be offered 20% of the scholarship and it will continue in the subsequent years if the candidate is passed in all the subjects

Placements: I am not very sure about placements as of yet because I’m still in the first year. But the credentials for Manipal in general are good, as it is a well-known and respectful institute. They also offer internships in the second and third years, which help students get hands-on experience in the field.
Placements: Manipal Law School's internship and placements are very good. At Manipal Law School, a student has to intern after every semester, which starts right after the first semester. The students are placed at noted and famous law firms where we students learn the practical aspect. Coming to placements, the LLB batches are yet to pass out, but LLM batches have passed out and have been placed at amazing, high-paying corporates.
Placements: Our college doesn't provide placements and pushes students to find their opportunity areas. Many students got amazing offers and fulfilling experience opportunities in big companies like Bosch to a lot of startups like Vaidyuthi. They go into different sectors of branding, coding, developing, making, and designing.
Placements: The batch for placements has not passed out of the university yet. Most students will go on for postgraduate studies or research work. For that, the faculty are absolutely excellent. Internships are needed for credits. The excitement for research and exploring new perspectives can really be felt by the faculty members, and I am sure that our department will be a frontrunner in social science research in the coming future.
Placements: Around 70% of us got places in large organisations and startups. For some placements usually happened smoothly and for the others they had to look out and pursue for months. The companies that visited during the graduation show were IMB, Microsoft and some local startups.
Placements: At our institute, 30–40% of the students gets placed in this course. Students were getting enough placements opportunities. The average package offered was between 3 and 5 LPA. Various educational and research enterprises visits college for placements. The top roles offered were research engineer, development engineer, design engineer, etc.
