Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research Placement overview
As per the overall NIRF report 2024 released by MAHER, the median package offered during UG 3-year, UG 4-year and UG 5-year placements 2023 stood at INR 4.2 LPA, INR 4.5 LPA and INR 7.6 LPA, respectively. Further, the median package offered during PG 2-year and PG 3-year placements 2023 stood at INR 2.4 LPA and INR 10.8 LPA, respectively.
Earlier, 22 companies offered job opportunities during the academic year 2021-22 selecting 697 students. The list of recruiters who participated in MAHER placements 2022 included Durus Consulting, Apollo Hospital Chennai, Peak Health Studio, and many others. The University has also released the NIRF report 2023. According to the report, the median package offered to UG students during 2022 MAHER placements was between INR 3.75 LPA and INR 8 LPA. For PG (2-year) and PG (3-year) courses, the median package stood at INR 2.40 LPA and INR 9.60 LPA, respectively.

Well, if you came only for study, it is good.
Placements: In our college, students are selected according to their percentage, which has to be more than 75%. And our college has a link with the government hospital in Kanchipuram; it's helpful for practicing. Apollo and Chettinadu Hospital came for placements.
You will definitely get selected in any of the two hospitals.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are quite good with AV aids and the drinking water facility is good, but the toilet facility may be a bit disappointing. Everything is okay, according to the infrastructure. You have to adjust to the toilets because they might disappoint. And the ventilation in the class is also bad.
Faculty: There is a low number of faculty, but you have external staff for special subjects such as microbiology, pathology, genetics and pharmacology; they are enough to complete this portion. They rush portions because of less time and less faculty. You have to study a lot.
Other: I chose nursing because I need to go on the medical line. That's why I chose nursing. Our campus has many fests, but nursing has to study; they have only a bit of enjoyment in the extracurricular curriculum.

Review of Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital, MAHER.
Placements: I have been a dental student here at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital for almost 4 years (My final year). We are a class of 90 students. The package given to interns is low, but the patient flow is good as it is situated in one of the main areas of the city.
Infrastructure: The lecture hall accommodates more than 100 students and has a theatrical pattern. The classroom is fully air-conditioned with a smartboard. It is bright with a good feeling of warmth. Meanwhile, the hostel and mess food are above average. Air-conditioned rooms are available. There are four hostels, 3 for girls and 1 for boys, 2 inside the campus and 2 outside the campus. Even though the campus is small, the facilities are not compromised. This helps in getting to know other batchmates and other students better. It is also an anti-ragging campus. The basketball court is at the centre, and the cricket nets are towards the right. There are trees in most places, and they have their own biological names. The mess has a fixed food schedule. The hostel rules are equal for both girls and boys. A large number of games are available, ranging from futsal to table tennis.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are highly qualified and highly experienced. They have interactive teaching sessions in most of the students grasp easily. Apart from the curriculum, extra knowledge is always given to students to crack competitive examinations. The case scenarios are best explained here. Students are also encouraged to present topics to reduce their stage fright and build confidence. The passing percentage is a minimum of 50%, and the curriculum is entirely relevant.
Other: Most of the students who study dentistry often have zero knowledge about it. They are mostly forced by their parents or by peer pressure. But after joining this course, it becomes their passion after learning step-by-step right from the first year. The best thing about this course is that it makes the patients satisfied and gives us inner peace and a feeling of positivity after completing every smile. People often complain about why you want to look inside people's mouths to earn money. But the fact is, if not us? Who will? The mouth is the primary entry point for all infections. We risk our lives to cure these diseases. This is something to be proud of. We also have intercollegiate or intercollege fests every year. There are about five festivals in a year. This allows us to showcase our talents and helps us improvise ourselves. The cultural events happening every year are no less than festivals. With complete involvement from the students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff, the smaller the campus, the greater the memories created. There was unity among all the students, with good patient flow.Â

Everything is good in this college, so give it a try.
Placements: I've enrolled for Bachelor of Commerce specialisation in Corporate Secretaryship, and there are 26 members in our class. The highest package is Rs. 15,000 pm and the lowest is Rs. 10,000 p.m. Everyone in our class got internship placement, and we've trained in December 2024. There are job placements available in this college. The last placement was conducted on December 2024. Students from other colleges have applied, and most of them have been placed in their first try. Companies such as CIEL, FORTE MANAGEMENT, TECH MAHINDRA, VERTEX SOLUTIONS, JUST DIAL, MONEY PLUS have come to our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The environment is also so good. There are enough classrooms, and they have 2 shifts. Timings - Shift 1 - 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Shift 2 - 12:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Canteen is available in this college, so no worries about that. There is a physiotherapy department on the ground floor. If you need anything related to a medical emergency, they'll take care of you. They'll provide you with medicine. There are sports available such as volleyball, football, basketball, etc. And so many indoor games are also available.
Faculty: Yes, the faculty members are so good. They're qualified and well-knownledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is exactly what you need. It's not so difficult to pass the exams. All you need is to fill out the 40-page booklet with the answers somewhat related to your exams. They'll automatically pass you. Trust me, you'll get above 50 or 60 in your exams. The passing percentage is 60%, which includes your internal 25 marks and external 35 marks. That's all you should do in your exams.
Other: I've chosen the course. I got an idea to join the corporate field. My course is different from the other Bachelor of Commerce courses. We have subjects related to company laws and theories. It's an easy exam to pass. Overall, my course is easy to pass, that's why I've chosen it. On the other hand. There is no fest, but you can join other colleges’ fests. They'll provide you with OD's. The campus has around 2000 people just in the faculty of Humanities and Science itself. Scholarships are provided for students of Rs. 10,000 yearly.

This college is good for work-driven student.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed each year. The highest salary package offered is 4.2 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Apollo Hospitals, Max, and Meenakshi itself hires the students. Almost 95% of students get internships in Maher, and students are not paid during this. Students can join as junior perfusionists after completing this course, then as per their experience, they will be promoted.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. There is no facility for Wi-Fi. But laboratories are well-equipped and maintained. The classroom and library are also up to the mark. There is a wide collection of books including foreign journals. The hostel facility is average. There are 3 students in a room with an attached washroom. The room size is decent. The quality of food is not good but adjustable. As I am from north India so it's very tough for students to consume regularly. Sports and games like cricket, volleyball, khokho, kabaddi, and football are played. The medical facility is also available 24X7.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified but the teaching quality of some teachers is not good. A maximum of them are good but few are lazy at their work. If students can put some extra effort into self-study, then they can cover. Doubt clear sessions are always available. The perfusion field in India is highly diluted but there is a good scope aboard. Semester exams are not difficult if students read well. The pass percentage is 70-75%.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in the heart and its functions. Our course is highly technical so there must be well-equipped and up-to-date machinery available during internships. Events are conducted regularly, students can also take part in sports meet in various sports. For scholarships, students can check their eligibility on their official website.

It is a decent and an average college for the fee charges.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students get placed every year. During my admission, all the 100 seats are filled. Placements are not so tough, if you have a decent mark then you can get admitted easily. It has high fee charges but not as high as other competitive colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. This campus settles in 1 acre. It has every availability with necessities. Hostel is fine but I'm not satisfied with the hostel food., It doesn't have a separate sports ground. There is just a basketball court available that too is used as a parking lot many times. But they do conduct games, sports, and activities.
Faculty: Faculty members and education quality are very good. Our has a very friendly staff except in some departments. The quality of education is good here but you have to be more involved but they don't pass through information properly. You have to put some efforts into yourself.
Other: They do conduct events, but not much. There are some events, and we do have art, sports, and cultural activities.

The college needs to improve everything, and there is no proper canteen even.
Placements: 30% of students got placed in my course. The highest salary offered was 15,000 per month, and the lowest salary was 8,500 per month. Amazon Pay, Zealous, KNV Capital, etc., come here. No internships are provided by the college. There are no good placements in our college. Every offer was from BPO. The college needs to improve everything.
Infrastructure: There are no facilities available in our college. The quality of food was below average. There is no proper canteen. There are no sports and games. There is no trip for students. The college should arrange a yearly trip for students. The college needs to improve everything.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, and some are not. The course curriculum was below average. The semester exams are a bit difficult. The pass percentage was 40%. There may be some teachers with zero knowledge. The college should replace them with new faculty members.
Other: I am very much interested in sales and marketing, so I chose this. I wish the college should arrange some events, campus interviews, scholarships and fests.
