    VSPM Dental College Analysis.
Placements: I am currently studying at VSPM Dental College in the course BDS in the second year. There are a total of 100 students in my course. The college provides rupees 900 internships. There are a total of 9 branches in the course of dentistry, and you can choose any one of them based on your rank. There is no placement as it is a medical college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good. The campus is beautiful and aesthetic with lush greenery. The college has a very big campus with 4 colleges: MBBS, Physiotherapy, BDS, and Nursing. The hostels are average, but the newer hostels are very clean and fully furnished.
Faculty: All the teachers are qualified and have a Master’s in Dental Surgery. They provide a good quality of education. There are three exams conducted per year by the college and a final exam conducted by the university. The pass percentage is standard as in all medical colleges, i.e., 50%.
Other: The recently passed-out batch is the 2019 batch. Not many students got into good government medical colleges for their Master’s in Dental Surgery. Many of them are in private colleges. As my marks didn’t qualify for MBBS, I chose BDS. There are many events and fests conducted per year, from college fests to Ganesh festival celebrations, to sports and indoor games.

    Absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: I am currently a 2nd-year student at the college. The total capacity of students is 100. The college provides a 1-year internship program to 100 students. Under this program, students undergo various dental camps and develop themselves for future clinical practice. Students from these colleges have been appointed as doctors in AIIMS hospital.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is the best; the college building and college campus have good infrastructure and great ambience. Practical labs are well-equipped and have modern equipment. The college campus has 2 libraries, a central library & a dental library, and a well-equipped gym for fitness purposes.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced, help students with their studies, and also help them in research-related work. The course has 3 internal exams and 1 final university exam. The passing percentage of college is about 85-90 percent, which is a quite good rate.
Other: I wanted to be a health professional, and creating beautiful smiles ahead makes me happier. Dentistry is taken by students not by their choice because the scope and interest of dentistry are still unknown to many. College conducts fest, which has both indoor and outdoor games, a Ganesh fest, and many extracurricular activities that help students develop themselves with studies.

    Good if one considers fees-wise.
Placements: There were 100 students per batch. The fee was INR 204,000 per year for open-category students. Students from other categories had to pay different amounts according to their category. There is not enough patient flow, so the practice opportunities are not as good compared to other colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is adequate. They have made many recent improvements. The library, gym, and practical lab facilities are good. Hostel facilities are also better compared to other colleges. Mess facilities are good, and the environment around the campus is pleasant.
Faculty: The faculty members are competent. However, there is a shortage of staff members, which sometimes makes it difficult to handle all the 4-year students. The available faculty members are experienced. Exams are conducted on time, and staff members are cooperative.

Happy with the education, good infrastructure, and helpful professors.
Placements: We are a batch of 75 students. The packages vary depending upon the future field you choose. A general dentist may earn around 12 LPA. The post-graduation has several specialty courses, namely Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Periodontology, Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology, Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Radiology.
Infrastructure: A number of facilities are available, including AC classrooms and AC libraries. There is no college campus. There are good hostel facilities with daily cleaning. The food in the canteen is okay. No mess is available. There is no ground. Parking slots are in the basement. There are 2 buildings: one is hostel + college + hospital, the other is only college + hospital.
Faculty: This is among the top 25 NIRF-ranking colleges, with the best infrastructure and the brightest professors. The passing percentage is 50. The college is strict and disciplined in all aspects. It helps the students build a successful future life and succeed in the dental surgery aspect.
Other: Dental surgery has a lot of scope, not just in India, but also abroad. It doesn't necessarily require a master's degree. Practical knowledge is more relevant. You can't expect good-level events, but events and fests surely do happen.

    Pandit Deendayal BDS: A Journey.
Placements: Placements are good at college. Most of the students go for higher studies in India or foreign countries. Also, internships are provided to college students in the last year, which actually deal with patients. The placement ratio is good at our dental college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is currently developing, and the campus is good and nature-friendly. The practical labs are well-equipped and well-maintained with the availability of machinery for students. There is a facility for a hostel, and mess is provided to students inside the college campus. The mess food is really good, with a variety of menus for each different day and affordable meals.
Faculty: The faculty for teaching is well-qualified and has good knowledge in their specific subjects, with good practical insights as well. The staff is strict about attendance for lectures and practicals. An annual pattern is followed for students, and exams are strictly organized and managed, which are difficult for some students.
Other: I chose this course over others because BDS has its own specialization and also has various career opportunities. I think the campus and improvements in infrastructure make the college much better. There are different events organized at the college level for students, such as annual functions, fests, days, competitions, and sports events. There is healthy competition between different year college students.

Good college life, average studies, and 70% chance of getting a good career.
Placements: My college does not provide placement. Instead, it gives a one-year internship under the guidelines of the University MUHS, but that internship is only for one year. After that, you have to find your own way. But if you are capable, then the college will open a window for you and might give you a job.
Infrastructure: My college is very vast, and it includes two libraries: one central library and another dental library. The library has 24/7 Wi-Fi and also has a cafe in it. In the dental library, only dental students can study, but in the central library, all the students can study. We have a well-known restaurant named Yellow. We also have a canteen named 24 Seven, which is open 24/7 a day. We also have a gym in the college. We also have a salon in our college. And the college is a medical college, so there is a 24/7 casualty.
Faculty: My BDS college has eight departments, and each department has its faculty members divided into two: one teacher supervises UG students and the other supervises PG students. Faculty members are MS doctors who teach us with their clinical experience. BDS in my college is a four-year course, and each year, we have to take three PCT exams and one final UT exam. To pass each exam, you have to get 50% in both theory and practice individually. If you fail in either and do not get 50%, you’ll be held back for six months.
Other: In my college, we celebrate the college fest, which includes cultural and sports activities. In culture, we have singing, dancing, fashion shows, badge dance, drama, and many more. In sports, we have indoor and outdoor sports. We also have academic competitions like debate competitions, paper presentations, slogan writing, poster making, etc. We also celebrate the Ganesh festival, Navratri, Sankranti, Holi, Diwali, and many other festivals.

While NEET is the standard requirement for BUMS admission at MUHS, exploring alternative pathways or other institutions may provide viable options. Direct admission without NEET is uncommon and may not be available at MUHS.

No, MUHS does not offer direct admissions to conventional medical courses like MBBS or BDS after a BNYS degree. However, you can pursue further studies in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, such as MD or MS in Naturopathy, at MUHS or other recognised institutions.
