The aviation institute has carefully established two complete aviation programmes, a Diploma in Aviation, Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Management and a Bachelors of Aviation, Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Management, to respond to the industry's current needs. The aviation programmes' curriculum has been purposefully crafted in cooperation with leading industry trends and experts to provide students with an engaging exposure to the most in-demand skills and competencies necessary in the industry.
What distinguishes Parul University's aviation programmes is not only their current employment market relevance but also the university's theoretical and practical learning framework, which emphasises 25% theoretical study and 75% practical training. The necessity for a quality human resource with adequate training and competencies to deliver the greatest level of passenger care, safety, and security in the transit process prompted this unique composition.
Parul University's Aviation Institute has been completely equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and learning tools for the students' practical development in order to meet this need for quality hands-on training. The Institute's custom constructed replica aircraft cabin is a prominent attraction, providing students with on-board experience during their studies. The plane was built in the shape and design of a passenger plane to give prospective flight attendants a taste of what it's like to be on a plane in real time.
Students study numerous on-board processes such as ticketing, passenger service, flight protocols, and safety security procedures aboard the model aircraft. The airplane has been created not only to improve the students' practical skills but also to assure their overall growth in terms of passenger interaction and the basic mannerisms and etiquettes required aboard an aircraft.
In addition, the institute has a dedicated reception area where students can practice various passenger reception, ticketing, and passport screening operations, as well as other terminal procedures. The institute has also set up a conference space for the purpose of helping students develop essential corporate and presentation skills.
Grooming has been established one of the primary components of the aviation learning experience at Parul University in order to assure the students' overall growth. As a result, the institute has been outfitted with a high-end grooming room complete with well-lit fixtures, make-up kits, dressers, and grooming areas where students may learn the necessary skills for improving their presentation, mannerisms, and look. Food and beverages are also an important aspect of the passenger schedule as well as the overall onboard experience.
Aside from the institute's facilities, Parul University's aviation teaching and learning process will also provide students with supplemental classes such as basic lifesaving skills, firefighting abilities, and swimming, among other things. The university's Institute of Aviation is all set to take off the career dreams of all budding aviation hopefuls, with its inaugural batch of students already tightening their seat belts.
Professor Om Prakash Develops Automated Robotic Cleaner For Cleaning Inaccessible Parts Of The Covid Wards
July 20, 2021: By developing techniques to combat the spread of Covid-19, technology has shown to be one of the most effective means of assisting the healthcare sector. Parul University in Vadodara has combined its engineering and medical sectors to develop long-term solutions for the welfare of Covid patients while also caring for the well-being of its employees. Professor Om Prakash Shukla of the University took the unusual step of developing an automated robotic cleaner for cleaning inaccessible portions of the Covid wards to ensure the safety of cleaning employees by minimizing interaction with patients. Parul University has taken an interdisciplinary approach to its teaching and learning process, integrating innovations from one sector to address the issues of the other.
This revolutionary invention, known as ‘Clenoroboflex,’ is the most recent addition to the University's extensive line of in-house produced technology. It is a remote-controlled vacuum cleaner with a working range of 15 meters, making it ideal for use in infectious illness wards. The device may be controlled by a single person from a safe distance. This new product will greatly reduce traffic flow due to fewer manpower requirements and the usage of numerous cleaning equipment for hospital and healthcare business sanitation and cleaning. The idea was created for use at Parul Sevashram Hospital, the University's 750-bed multi-specialty hospital.
This unusual robot is battery-powered, with a working time of two hours and facilities for battery backup. This increased battery life is essential because a single charge may cover a larger radius and provides a steady stream of uninterrupted usage. Furthermore, it is manufactured entirely of local materials with no welding and has a PVC body construction, making it extremely lightweight and battery-powered. It is critical for the machine's use in the medical profession that it can be sterilised quickly and simply for reuse. Because the robot is composed of PVC, it can be easily sanitized using normal hospital cleaning chemicals.
Parul University’s New ‘Mummy N' Yummy’ Food Outlet, Succeeds In Self Empowering Women
June 18, 2021: Taking note of the multiple vulnerabilities that disadvantaged women have faced in these trying times, Vadodara-based Parul University has made a proactive step to address these issues for women in its surrounding regions. The University recently opened a new food outlet run by women as part of its social responsibility activities. Mummy n' Yummy, a food service restaurant founded by the University's Social Responsive Cell, has been providing a source of financial support to women in poor neighbourhoods. Through such projects, the University continues to develop business and social solutions that might aid in improving women's welfare and assuring their well-being.
Mummy n' Yummy, as its name suggests, has brought the delicious flavour of home-cooked meals to the PU campus for students and staff. The store has become one of the many cutting-edge amenities on campus, not only boosting the well-being of students but also safeguarding the safety of women. Parul University has been curating some of the top national and international food outlets, with the attempts to bring a taste from every area to its campus, and by building up Mummy n' Yummy, the University has finally discovered a method to bring a taste of the students' homes to its campus. Mummy n' Yummy's female owners went beyond flavour while creating the menu, focusing on offering highly nutritional meals that promote healthy living on PU's 28,000-student campus.
Women will be in charge of the operations and management of this food outlet, and the proceeds from their daily business activities will be used to support themselves and their families. Dr Parul Patel, Vice President of Parul University, stated, "I feel that via this new programme, women across our society will find solace as they will be able to help their families especially during these tough times." The Social Responsive Cell has taken a number of initiatives in this role, many of which have centred on financially empowering women through strengthening their business skills and capabilities.

June 4, 2021: Dr Preeti Nair, the University's Director of International Relations, was recently recognised for her work and commitment to Parul University's internationalisation endeavors with an award for the Best Director in International Relations. Dr Shantanu Chakravarty, the University's Principal of Business Administration, received another award for the Most Enterprising Academician of the year in the education category of entrepreneurship.
The University's International Relations Cell has been at the forefront of this internationalisation drive, seeking to create platforms for student and faculty mobility, route programmes, research-based programmes, and study abroad programmes. Parul University's International Relations Cell has achieved significant milestones in global education under the leadership of recently honored Dr Preeti Nair. During her tenure as head of international relations, the university set new milestones in terms of worldwide reach, with 75 collaborations, 800 students participating in over 200 exchange programmes, and global research collaborations financed by premier organizations like the European Union.
The worldwide aviation and international travel industries have been crippled as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic, with numerous destinations closed to international travel. Despite these obstacles, the International Relations cell has able to invent and build a variety of strategies to improve international corporations, including virtual exchange programmes, blended classrooms, and global student virtual internships. Through its study abroad center, the university has also been able to send a number of students to study overseas.
Dr Shantanu has been a strong proponent and advocate for entrepreneurship and innovation while serving as the Principal of the University's Faculty of Management. Students in the Business Administration programme have been able to make significant progress in their start-ups because of his guidance.
