Ranchi University Placement 2024: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Companies

The University has not released the placement rate as of now. However, the number of students placed over the past few years placements has been disclosed. During 2023 placements, 44 students were placed. Earlier, 139 students were placed during the 2023 drive. The table below represents the Ranchi University placement trends for the past three years:

The placement report of 2023 is not yet out by the Ranchi University. As per the NIRF report, the highest package for PG (2 year) at Ranchi University for the year 2022 was INR 3.90 LPA and amongst that the total of 98 students got placed. There has been a significant dip in the package value since the year 2019 when the highest was INR 4.80 LPA. The highest package for B.Tech course offered by Ranchi University for the year 2023 is INR 6 LPA. This package value is among the 60% placement rate. 

The placement report for 2022 of Ranchi University shows a dip since 2019. While the highest package of 2022 for PG (2 year) was INR 3.90 LPA, the highest for 2019 stood at INR 4.80 LPA. Authorities state Covid restrictions as a major base factor. However, the placement packages for B.Tech courses offered by Ranchi Universtity did not see any significant change. The highest package margin remained INR 5-6 LPA. While the average package maintained a margin of INR 2.8-4.5 LPA. The highest placement package for B.Tech courses at Ranchi University was INR 6 LPA for the year 2023 as released by the University.

As per the latest report, the highest package offered to the 2024 batch was INR 7.25 LPA. Earlier, the highest package for 2023 stood at INR 6.06 LPA. From 2022 to 2024, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the Ranchi University the highest package, which is depicted below:

The average package is around INR 3 Lacs per annum package offered at Ranchi University and also overall average students package is between INR 3 Lacs per annum to INR 3.5 Lacs per annum.

The placement cell of Ranchi University was established in 2010and has facilitated various recruitments by many prestigious companies like  Wipro, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Concentrix, Vodafone - Idea, Bajaj finance, H.D.F.C Bank, British telecom, Liker fashion, Piramal Swastya, Chola Mandalam, Deccan iservices, Kotak Talent Academy, JSLPS, Medica Hospital and many more. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is increasing year by year. 

Ranchi University was founded in year 1960 whereas Naxatra Institute of media Studies (NIMS BBSR) was established in the year 2009. NIMS claims the highest package of Rs. 12 Lacs and average package of Rs. 4.5 Lacs per annum. NIFR ranking of NIMS is 151. It has academic collaboration with various Indian as well as international universities. According to me, NIMS  has better placements specially in media studies.
