Small ragging free campus with loads of seminars.
Placements: The highest salary package offered was INR 51 LPA, and the average package was INR 6.50 LPA. Over 70% of students were placed. The university provides law firms and advocates to guide students who are practising law. In addition, 90% of students get internships, and the college offers weekly seminars that help students gain knowledge and participate in interactive sessions.
Infrastructure: The moot court is a great place to practice our skills. The classrooms are nice, and the Wi-Fi and library facilities are excellent. The hostel provides a clean environment, Wi-Fi, four meals a day, a TV room, washing machines, and 24/7 security. The moot court competition sessions are quite helpful.
Faculty: The teachers at this university are good at teaching and well qualified. They help the students with study materials. The semesters are easy if we attend classes regularly. However, if we are not regular in classes, the semesters will be very hard. Sometimes the faculty disappoints the students, but the university takes action if you complain. About 90% of students pass.
Other: I am a law student. Law is a field where you can gain both knowledge and power. If you are good at what you do, you can make a lot of money. It is important to stay informed about current affairs. The events that are organized by the college are very good.

Don't go to SNU without reading these points .
Placements: This is my final year (2024-2025), and I am part of the campus drive for 2025 pass-outs. I will be honest; if you have better options, go for them. As you know, SNU is part of the Techno India Group, so during placements, many colleges compete together. I remember when Nutanix came for a drive; there were students from six different colleges competing together. Mainly, you'll compete with TIU, TMSL, and Asansol and Siliguri colleges. So far, we have had Microsoft, Nutanix, TCS, Accenture, and many smaller companies. Not many students have been placed from SNU, as the competition is high. If you are skilled enough, you can get placed, as companies do come, but not big names.
Infrastructure: The course is good, but the faculty is weak. You'll have economics but not a good teacher. This results in your own loss; people can see that you have learned economics, but you haven't. I don't stay in a hostel, but I have heard that they are too strict, but the food is good. Classrooms are non-AC, with fans, while labs have AC. The library has many unnecessary books instead of important ones, and Wi-Fi is not available for students.
Faculty: We had a few excellent teachers, but also some terrible ones, who were the new ones. But over these three years, many of the talented ones have left the college, so I am not sure how good the faculty will be. You have to study on your own if you really want to learn something. The core teachers are good, but you'll have issues with the others. The course is good, but no course is truly industry-ready. An industry-ready course is a myth; you'll have to learn industry-based skills on your own. No course will teach you web development, Android, Flutter, or anything like that. Semester exams are pretty easy; you just have to maintain attendance and have some basic knowledge of the subject to score a 7+ SGPA. The passing score is 4, but it is good to maintain at least a 7.5+ CGPA. We had a few excellent teachers, but also some terrible ones, who were the new ones. Other: I chose this course because CSBS was supposed to get preference at TCS. But campus life is terrible at this college—no events, no fests, nothing. If you want to study only, go for SNU; otherwise, I can give you an honest suggestion: sit for the WBJEE, and no matter how much you score, you'll have a better choice, as it will cost less. SNU is not value for money, at least for CS.

Average college and college life.
Placements: Placements at Sister Nivedita University (SNU) have been growing steadily, with a range of companies visiting the campus, especially for teaching and management roles. Students in fields like Computer Science and Engineering often have better placement opportunities, with offers from reputed IT companies and startups. However, the average salary packages are moderate, and while some students secure higher-paying roles, others feel that the university placement support could be enhanced to attract more top-tier companies and diversify the job roles offered. The placement cell is supportive but could work more on improving industry connections and preparing students for competitive interview processes.
Infrastructure: SNU offers a wide array of courses, especially in engineering, management, and the sciences. The curriculum is updated regularly to include current trends, particularly in technology-related fields. However, students sometimes feel that the courses could be more practical and industry-oriented, as they currently emphasize theory over hands-on learning. Faculty members are knowledgeable, but students would benefit from more workshops, labs, and real-world project opportunities. Overall, while the university’s academic offerings are solid, some improvements could be made to enhance the student experience.
Faculty: I liked the faculty at Sister Nivedita University. They were well-qualified and approachable, and willing to help students with doubts and extra guidance. However, some students feel that teaching methods could be more engaging and aligned with industry practices. The curriculum is fairly up-to-date, particularly for technical and professional courses, incorporating relevant topics and skills. However, more focus on practical, real-world applications and hands-on projects could enhance the learning experience. The exam structure is straightforward, with a focus on theory. While exams are fair, students sometimes feel they assess wrote learning over practical understanding. Adding project-based or open-ended assessment could improve skill development and practical knowledge.
Other: I like the food at the fest at Sister Nivedita University. It provides a decent selection of dishes, offering a mix of Indian and continental options. The food is generally fresh and hygienic, catering to different tastes. However, students feel that more variety would improve the experience. Special occasions bring a wider range of options, which is appreciated, but daily meals could be more diverse to avoid repetition. Overall, while the fest is satisfactory, with good quality and cleanliness, adding more frequent menu changes and options for customization would make it more enjoyable for students.

All about Sister Nivedita University.
Placements: There are chances to get placed. At least 95% of all students are placed. One batch is passed out but they are now getting internships in many hospitals like Woodland, BP Poddar, etc. Our course offers critical care technologies in ICU, emergency ward and other wards if needed .
Infrastructure: Yes, our whole campus is fully connected to Wi-Fi. Labs and classrooms are excellent, neat, and clean and make the students interested in presenting in class. The library is also so good. There are books available to all students. Hostel facilities are so good. Their meals and transportation system are worth it.
Faculty: Yes, faculty members were so good. They taught us in a humble manner that if any student has doubts, they should be corrected out in the present class. The passing student percentage is about 95%. Our semester was not hard. It had standard questions in exams, which the students solved.
Other: I want to serve the people, and in this course, what I learn is that I am using these skills not only in hospitals but also in critical situations in any place.

My perspective about my college, Sister Nivedita University.
Placements: More than 98.9% of students were placed in various companies. 51 LPA was the highest package and 6.5 LPA was the lowest in last year. Companies like Amazon, Byju's, Mahindra, and TCS come for recruitment. Over 90% of students did their internship in more than 200 companies. Students were offered various positions in companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really awesome and astonishing. We have Wi-Fi, air-conditioned labs, and classrooms with all the stuff you need. And regarding the hostels, I live in Sandree Home, which is truly very good and quality food is provided. Medical facilities are also really helpful.
Faculty: The teachers are really very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, which will help you with your selected courses and classes. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students ready to be a part of the industry. The semesters are quite tough and also simple if you have studied and been productive in your classes.
Other: I selected this course because I have a personal interest in computers and technology. One of the best things about my course is college and their teachers are helpful. I want to improve my communication skills and coding skills. There are a lot of events on campus. Like recently, we had Manchester City in an event here.

Review of Sister Nivedita University.
Placements: Students are not offered any internships, as no companies are associated with the psychology department. While students can pursue internships independently, the university does not provide assistance. Internships are not mandatory at the bachelor's level; however, research is compulsory.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are pretty average. There are two practical labs, with one equipped with AC. The classes are frequently moved from one room to another. The hostel rooms are neat and liveable. However, the food is terrible. Hostel rules are strict but acceptable. The social life is somewhat toxic.
Faculty: The professors are qualified and teach pretty well. They are very helpful and supportive. The curriculum and knowledge imparted are very useful for future careers. The scoring system is also good. The semester exams are moderately difficult. Studying diligently can earn you good marks.
