Step 1: SMIT Entrance Exam
Candidates willing to apply for the BTech, MTech, and MCA must first apply for the University entrance test known as SMIT (Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology). However, candidates with a valid JEE Main and GATE score can apply at the University’s official website.
Step 2: SMU Application Process
The SMU Application process is completely online. Candidates can visit the Sikkim Manipal University’s official website and fill out the online registration form by providing all the details. Now candidates must fill in the online application form, upload all the required documents and pay the application fee.
Step 3: SMU Merit List
Sikkim Manipal University offers admission for a few of its courses via a merit list, which is prepared based on candidates' performance in the qualifying exams. The merit list is released on the University’s website.
Step 4: SMU Counselling
Candidates who are applying for courses under Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology must register for the SMIT counselling 2025. For those who have qualified SMIT, JEE Main or MET, counselling will be conducted separately for seat allotment. The candidates will also have to select their preferred course.
