I am satisfied with the infrastructure.
Placements: Our university provides over 90% placement for our course, and 70% of students are placed. Nearly 78% of students interned with Millennium Post, Echo of India, and others. Over 45% of students get placements through campus drives, with salary packages ranging from 1.5 to 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at my university is good. The library has both digital and traditional resources, and the students have access to smart classrooms and labs. The college provides Wi-Fi access and has AC facilities. The hostel provides three types of rooms with both attached and common washrooms. Each room has a dressing table, washbasin, bed, reading table, chair, and almirah. The food quality is really good, and they provide three meals for the students. College authorities take immediate action if someone gets sick. The campus has a big playground and a basketball court. Certain indoor games, like carrom and chess, are also available. Our university also provides a well-equipped gym facility.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and cooperative. They are highly qualified with high skills in teaching. The English department makes students industry-ready by increasing their communication skills and global connectivity. The semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I have always had a great interest in English literature. I chose to study English at St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, because it is a global language that can enhance my communication skills in my personal and professional life. The university offers a wide range of career opportunities and supports personal growth. I also want to learn other languages such as French and German, which will be useful in the future. The university organizes two fests each year and awards scholarships based on semester results. It also offers a variety of extracurricular activities and inter- and intra-sports.

Excellent infrastructure and facilities but disappointed with the lack of placements.
Placements: The course as we all know is vast and way different than other popular fields. This is a course which needs proper guidance, which the faculty of this university provides. But if we talk about placements, you might get disappointed a little as we are not offered or rather we do not get enough information regarding placements from this particular course in Bachelors degree.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructures will impress you. All the classrooms have centralised air conditioners, provides Wi-Fi, one can study in the reading room whenever they feel like and lend books from the library as well. The labs and studio are excellent. Hostel rooms are not bad and the food available in the mess and canteen are not very disappointing. You will be encouraged to participate in different kind of events including sports and games.
Faculty: The professors are helpful and knowledgeable as well. You won't hesitate to approach them when required. You will enjoy the course but the industry is such that it might take some time to make you industry ready, but with increasing number of contacts and sources you will get the required help and guidance. The semester exams are not very difficult and you will have to get atleast 40 out of 100 in each paper, failing which you have to appear for arrear tests which are slightly easy and leniently checked.

    Modern facilities and improved technologies.
Placements: Those students who were willing to do so were placed. Most of them opted for higher studies, but even then the university provides ample placement opportunities. Some of them got placed in Cognizant, TCS, and other companies as well. Overall, it rests upon how good the student is.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi available. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with neat desks. The corridors are CCTV monitored, but the classrooms are exempted since it respects the privacy of the students. The campus is air-conditioned, and the students can change the setting anytime and anywhere.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely knowledgeable. They are well versed in their choice and field of studies, and they employ a holistic and relational way of teaching. They engage creatively with the text and always strive towards a better understanding of subjects.
Other: The only other thing that I would advise is to never avail yourself of the university bus since it is costly and has no real benefit other than to extort money from their students.

Our campus is good. It has advanced facilities with a good education.
Placements: Almost 100% of students get summer internships. Around 48 students get summer placements out of 49 registered students. Almost 70% of students have been placed out of 31 companies that participated in placements drives. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte India, Buyers Foresight, Netscribes, PWC India, Flair tree, Bank of America, Global data, Career Labs, and other such prominent organizations. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are the best, among the colleges in Kolkata. There is access to Wi-Fi on the campus, smart classrooms with centralised air-conditioning, separate library, and research building named for arrupe with both lending and reading sections. There are separate hostels for both girls and boys called as the Mother Teresa Residence and Tagore residence respectively. Hostel mess, canteen, football field, basketball court, gymnasium, and indoor games facilities are available as well. The quality of the food is good, and it has adequate medical facilities, and provides room for sports and games.
Faculty: The quality of education is very updated, advanced, and rich. Students are encouraged to take keen interest in research work within the department to enhance their interest in the subject. The department has highly qualified faculty members who are helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is one the best in its kind, which provides the base for competitive examinations in the future and makes students industry-ready. The semester examinations are challenging but with regular attendance of lectures by professors, students can secure good grades in the course. The pass percentage is nearly 99.8%.
Other: Choosing economics honors would make me aware of the economic issues globally and nationally. Also, being a lover of mathematics and statistics I opted for this course for my career. More contact with the professors and a separate room for query discussion with teachers seems lacking in this course. The department of economics at SXUK hosts its annual economic summit every year, interactive webinars hosted by eminent speakers, workshops, and other guest lectures by eminent professors from other institutions. Also, students have different societies in which students can be a part of Xavecos for economics students. Emphasis is given to non-academic activities like extracurricular activities, sports, and social work.

Wi-Fi connectivity is available all over the campus. There is a huge field for conducting fests and extracurricular activities, and gym and canteen facilities are also available here.

Honest Review of St. Xavier's University, Kolkata by a Mass Communication student.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.A. in Mass Communication, and my expected graduation year is 2027. 89% of the students in the course were placed, with the highest package offered being 30 LPA in the field of MBA. Top recruiting companies for our course include ABP, Zee, SVF, etc. Additionally, 70% of the students secured internships from companies such as ABP, Zee, SVF, etc. The top roles offered in my course are news reporter, anchor, mass communicator, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in my college are great. The rooms are Wi-Fi equipped with CCTV monitoring. There is a huge library on the campus with lots of books; it's also been referred to as the knowledge palace. The quality of facilities in my hostel is great as it's a relatively new building equipped with multiple modern facilities. The quality of food in the canteen is great, and there is both non-veg and veg food available. The campus has a special medical centre for injuries, and the nurses and frontline workers there will assist you with your injury and discomfort very well. The college consists of a huge sports team as well.
Faculty: The faculty is great and the curriculum is also very relevant according to today's time. I would say that the teaching quality is average or slightly above average as the professors don't connect deeply with the students and they should be much more free when teaching. Yes, the curriculum is very relevant as it deals with daily challenges and it makes students industry-ready due to the vast varieties of practical work taught by the professors. The semester exams difficulty is moderate and not too tough. There are 2 semesters in a year and each semester has 2 exams. Most of the students pass the exams, hence the pass percentage is high and greater than 95%.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in the field of Mass Communication and wanted to progress in this field. The best thing about this course is that students are not under pressure of tough concepts or bounded by syllabus and hence they can understand the topics at their own pace. Also, the subjects included in mass communication are very interesting to learn. The thing that could be improved about the course is by adding more modern things and relatively things, although the syllabus and curriculum are very well organized for the modern date but there still lies some things which should be updated. Every year a major fest (XAVRANG) is held during the months of February or March and it's a huge event, a lot of popular artists perform during this event and a lot of fun takes place. The Campus crowd is very talented and very helping. The campus surroundings are good as well as it's in a relatively good place with malls nearby and the modern Kolkata in sight. Scholarships are given provided that one scores 85% in end sem and so 25% of their total expenditure in college will be paid back. A lot of extracurricular activities are also there which will make any student overwhelmed.
