The goal of this initiative is to integrate the transgender community into society and give them self-employment options. This initiative comprises tailoring, sanitary pad making, beauty services, herbal items, and other certification programmes. The success of this project will be a significant step forward in the quest to provide underprivileged people with a decent living.

Dr Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of Symbiosis Skills & Professional University, underscored the importance of inclusive education, noting that this is the first time in India that a skill university will offer programmes specifically developed for the transgender population. "By cooperating with the industry to buy the items developed by the students, we have built a unique paradigm for developing entrepreneurship. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to society and contribute to the community's inclusive growth.”, she said.

“We sincerely believe that every human has a right to live a dignified life,” remarked Usha Kakade, Chairperson and Managing Director of Gravittus Corp. on this occasion. “Our goal is to reach as many individuals as possible and assist them in realizing their aspirations and living a life of respect. We've taken it a step further and formed a partnership with a hospital to purchase the products created by the students. This will assist them in becoming self-sufficient and living a dignified life from the outset. We'd like to express our gratitude to Laxmi Narayan Tripathi for getting together to help facilitate this process and for her tireless efforts on behalf of the community.”, she continued.

Students from Symbiosis Skill and Professional University Bag 1st Prize at Smart India Hackathon 2020

August 12, 2020: Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Innovation Cell at the AICTE in joint efforts with Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Government of India organised Smart India Hackathon 2020 on August 4. The event witnessed active participation of over 1,081 teams across the country in the Software Edition. The ‘Team Tyche’ comprising of Engineering and Data Science students from Symbiosis Skills & Professional University also participated in the event and developed code from scratch by working for 12 hours/day for three days in a row. The team was awarded the first prize in Software Edition at the event and was also presented with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

Symbiosis Employees Contributes One-Day Salary to PM Cares Fund

April 17, 2020: Pune-based Symbiosis Skills & Professional University employees voluntarily contributed their one-day salary to the PM Cares Fund to fight against COVID-19 and also offered other assistance to the impacted people.

The University has assured that the academic schedule is not impacted by the because of this current pandemic situation. The professors have been conducting classes online from the first day of lockdown.

Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University Dr Swati Mujumdar appealed to students to follow all the safety guidelines by government and doctors to stay safe. Alongside, to continue focusing on their studies and approaching exams.  She also asked students to collaborate on a variety of initiatives to identify answers to today's problems for society. For example, the students of data science are tracking the price increases of the essential goods.

The professionals at the University are making best possible use of technology to conduct admission process online. Along with the entire process, online mentorship has also been arranged for newly enrolled graduates.

Great campus, top-notch fests and cultural activities; faculty management needs improvement.

It is a great college to actually study and socialize.

Placements: They provide good quality of placement to good quality of students and really help them get a new job or something and they also provide a lot of internships to help student out. They also take steps like not just reading books but actually being practical about them.

The campus is really pretty, I absolutely love the campus, and the canteen food is good.

Placements: About 100% of the placements are there. The highest package offered to our senior was about 11 LPA. Internship are very important in SSPU; if not done, the term is not granted. 100% students are placed for internships in companies like Motilal Oswal, Prudent, Artharti services, Carnival, etc. As we are still in our first year, there are not many top roles offered, but some are recognized, like finance interns in the accounts department, marketing interns, project management, personal assistance ...
