TU: Nurturing the beauty in you.

Placements: Mass communication is not a confined discipline and thus, almost, all the students are well-equipped to place themselves into their own fields. The course mainly focuses on bringing out the best of each student. Moreover, a chunk of people of the university produces job rather than getting themselves placed by opening opportunities in their own production houses. Unitreed and Folk films are merely two such wonderful examples of it.

Great faculty but the courses need revision and to be updated.

Placements: Though this institute's reputation is top notch and being in the top 150 institutes in Asia along with IIT Ghy, this institute couldn't grab the attention of the corporates for high package jobs or position. Maximum Rs. 5 LPA package could be bagged from this institute via placements. This can be said mainly because of the location (northeast India) and lack of work by the MBA department for bringing placements. This year though, in 2016-2017 batch, there has been some progress with IOCL taking ...

Tezpur University - An institution worth getting into.

Placements: The placements, at least in the MBA department, are close to a 100%. The main issue hindering the placement prospects is the location of the campus, it being nowhere close to a major airport or railway station. But the placement department works overtime and the results are there for all to see. The university has recently been awarded as one of the best universities (5th) in the country by the Ministry of HRD. It was also recently awarded the Visitor's Award for the best university in the count...

Best infrastructure with little dots.

Placements: As the university has made itself one of the top institutions in the country, the placement scenario will rise from good to better. Overall, a rating of 3.5 out 5 can be provided to its placement cell. From the batch of 2016, students from Computer Science and Engineering bagged most of the jobs. The other engineering departments were backsided. Especially the Food Engineering department suffered the most penalty. So let's hope for a better placement in the years to come. ...

Talent hunt of Tezpur University.

Placements: Placements are not up to the mark. The placement of our batch was good for Computer Science students but not for other courses. Out of 30 students, only 5 got selected. Companies like Britannia and ITC came to our college. Yes, we were provided with an internship from the college in different companies like Mother Dairy, Coca-Cola, Britannia, Nezone etc. No stipend was provided.

An amazing university of dreams.

Placements: The placements are yet to be functional fully in humanities, but the School of Engineering has a promising prospect. The companies are yet to explore humanities and the students are yet to get jobs here. The engineering department has seen many lucrative companies and the employment of its students.

Review on Tezpur University

Placements: The placements here are not satisfactory as the companies hardly come for recruitments. Although, some companies come for recruitments but they do not recruit in bulk. This year, ITC has recruited 2 students from the food engineering department and Intel has recruited 3 students from computer science and engineering. 100% students got the internship from our college, but no such stipend was offered.

Appreciable campus and facility

Placements: In this year, the placement were not good compared to the previous year. Jobs were basically offered in information technology sectors. The average salary is around 3.5 lakh per annum. For some departments, the placement was not good. Students used to get internships in different colleges and industries.

Horrible placement, great campus. Go, decide!

Placements: Honestly, no company visited our department during my final year. I, along with other classmates from my department, sat for two interviews that had nothing to do with my department, as there was no specific criteria. All the responsibility for placement is given to the students. The teachers should try to invite companies instead of relying on students. One company, CG foods, hired a few people, but the pay was only Rs. 11000 per month, and the work was exhausting. Not suitable for an educated ...

Placements: The placements were fine of our batch. It was really good for Computer science and Electronic engineering. It was fine for mechanical and other branches. Companies like Tech Mahindra and Dalmia cements came for the placements for mechanical branch. The package was around 3 lakhs per annum.

Elegant infrastructure with strict rules.

Placements: Placement is still a concealed occasion for the Department of Food Engineering and Technology. During my tenure as a student, an approximate of 20 percent B.Tech graduates were placed. The recruiting companies are under-deserving. Coming to remuneration. It is like they compensate the students unfairly. Internships and stipend are two sides of a river which can never meet. The students have to spend a lot of money which burns a hole in one's pocket.

Great infrastructure and faculty, but the course is not that good.

Placements: The placements are very low, and the MSc degree holders almost never get placed anyway. Most of the students opt for PhD which is the subject of another review. The campus placement drives for School of Sciences is discouraged by the current VC here. 80-90% students get good internships in the top institutes of India and abroad mostly due to the connections of our extremely helpful professors. I have heard that some get stipends as high as INR 30000 and at least 5000-10000, but I do not have en...

It is a good college but needs its T&P cell to be more active about placements and rules and regulations need to be more liberal for the students. Faculty recruitment in the college should not be only based on his or her qualification, but more importantly on his or her teaching and communication skills.

Tech was not good in my time it's improving now. The academics here are worth praise. MBBT Dept. of Tezpur University is one of the best in the country. It's a growing university in the field of academics, research and extracurricular and one should opt if got a chance to pursue different courses here. B. Tech, MSc,...
