Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2026
4.8
4Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Strong Placements, Great Infrastructure, and Industry-Relevant Curriculum.
Placements: The BCA Batch of 2022 achieved an impressive placement rate of 80%, with 8 out of 10 students securing jobs. The highest package offered was 30 LPA, the lowest was 5 LPA, and the average stood at 12 LPA. Top recruiters included Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys, Oracle, Cognizant, and others, offering roles like Software Developer, Junior Developer, and more. About 80% of students secured internships at renowned organizations such as Insyssky Softtech Private Limited, NIELIT, IT Bhavan, and NIC, gaining valuable industry experience in software development and IT services.
Infrastructure: The BCA course infrastructure includes modern computer labs with high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library with digital resources. Hostels are clean and spacious, providing 24/7 Wi-Fi, hygienic food in the mess, and good medical support. Facilities for sports and games ensure overall student development.
Faculty: The faculty for the BCA course is highly qualified, knowledgeable, and approachable. They employ effective teaching methods, combining theoretical concepts with practical applications, ensuring students understand industry-relevant skills. The curriculum is well-structured, covering subjects like programming, database management, and web development, making students industry-ready. Regular workshops and projects enhance practical exposure. The semester exams are moderately challenging but manageable with consistent effort. The college maintains a high pass percentage, with most students successfully clearing exams due to the support provided by faculty and a student-friendly evaluation system.
Other: I chose the BCA course for its focus on programming and IT, preparing students for the growing tech industry. The curriculum is practical and industry-relevant, covering modern technologies. Events like hackathons, tech fests, and coding competitions enhance learning and provide valuable exposure. The campus is lively, with a diverse crowd and excellent extracurricular activities, including cultural fests and sports. Connectivity to nearby cities is convenient, and scholarships support deserving students. While the course is strong, adding more real-world internships and electives in advanced fields like AI or cybersecurity could make it even better, ensuring students are future-ready.

Infrastructure: The college is very vast and has a pretty huge infrastructure. It has Wi-Fi connection on campus. We have different labs for different subjects.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, very friendly, and supportive. Their teaching techniques are also very advanced. Exams are very easy only the class works are enough for exams. All the students can easily pass the exams. Faculty members are well educated and very much friendly to the students which helps them a lot.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2024
3.2

If your target is a government job, you can take this course (not for engineering-primarily focused)
Placements: Our batch placements are there, but not in our own sector, like technical jobs. The highest I know is 4 LPA, and the lowest can be very sales-oriented, mostly. Then, develop SDE roles. The top recruiters may be LearnNex, Pie-Infotech, PRAN, Academor, and Rinex for my branch, as far as I know. Colleges provide internship training only; there are no outside-state hand-on internships.
Infrastructure: The course is Good at This price, with scholarships available. Classrooms are good Labs are fine, less instruments may be, Computers mostly don't work well, and libraries are good for studying. (Wi-Fi is 1 GB per day but Sometimes it doesn't work.) I don't know about Hostel I am not a hostel student.
Faculty: Yes Teachers were helpful but Teaching level is not Good. The teachers are well qualified but their teaching level is not Up to par for me (That's my own opinion). No This curriculum will not make the students industry-ready. The course is made to making us ready from small sales job or Giving exams like GATE (But for GATE, they will just Guide you) Semester exams are moderate, And passing the Exams is easy If you study well and are not trash student,. Talking about the real truth. Projects and internals are taken In good Intervals and when students have enough time to read the topics for learning CSE, you can take it and IF your target is government jobs, then this course is good But if you want to be an engineer, it's not enough.
Other: I had to choose this course because, during pandemic time, I could not go outside the state. The only best thing about this course is that you can easily complete it with good marks if you are an average student, and you can enjoy college life because the college environment is good and some festivals are held for student enjoyment. The placement and if the course contains a good internship and practical learning are more than bookish theory. 2 events take place: Novatos for freshmen and the Icaria Teach Fest of the Year.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2024

Not so good regarding the faculty members and curriculum.
Placements: In my B.Com course, no one was placed in the placement drive by the university. As no one got placed, I have no idea about the highest and the lowest package. In my course, 100% of students got internships in various CA firms, banks, industries, etc., which were personally organized by the university.
Infrastructure: Our department, Faculty of Management and Commerce, has very nice infrastructure. All the classrooms were neat and clean, equipped with smart boards. There are computer labs, the building is secured with CCTV cameras, and there is a Wi-Fi connection. I can't describe the hostel as I didn't opt for it, but the food available in the canteen was not good enough for the students. However, there were proper medical facilities available in case of emergency. There is a full-fledged gym and sports room for all the students.
Faculty: The teachers were very much qualified and knowledgeable, but they are not much helpful for average students. The faculty members are very helpful and polite with toppers but not so great with average students. The moral of the story is that students are being judged by their academic records. The course curriculum is obviously not relevant and doesn't make the students industry-ready.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2026

My experience at ICFAI in the recent years.
Placements: Among the previous batches, there have been many students who got selected in big companies that offer placements. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest would be 4 LPA, and the average would probably be 5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS and Ambuja Cement. Almost everyone that applies for placement exams does end up in good companies.
Infrastructure: There's various facilities provided around the campus: Wi-Fi 24/7, labs with accommodated machines and equipment, ventilated classrooms, and of course, a library. Medical facilities are also provided for free within the campus 24/7. Hostel facilities are available too. Hostel facilities are provided as well. I'm a day scholar, but my friends staying at the hostel did claim there's 24/7 running water and also electricity and WiFi. They even have setup a TV in common rooms for recreation, along with an open gym area and park.
Faculty: The faculty is quite knowledgeable, most of them being already Ph.D. holders; they have so much to teach us. The faculty members are friendly too. Regarding the course curriculum, it is relevant to our syllabus, but apart from these, we do have other extra courses too that teach us corporate discipline, which I think is very important. As for semester exams, the difficult would probably be a 6/10; almost everything is from whatever is taught in class or relevant to it. The grading system is quite fair too. The passing mark in each subject is 30.
Other: The best thing about my course, civil engineering, would totally be the practical. I enjoy every bit of my practical classes; things are explained in such a simple way and taught to us in such a way that everything seems easily understandable. I wish they improved a few lab facilities in the lab, like more machines and equipment for us to use. Also, our semester ends in just 4 months, so I wish we had more time to complete a semester as the syllabus feels rushed during the last moments, making it tough to focus on everything. ICARIA and NOVATOS are the main events.

Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (B.P.E.S) - Batch of 2026

Review of Bachelors of physical education and sports at ICFAI University, Tripura.
Placements: As it is a graduation equivalent course, the placement rate is pretty low compared to other courses, I would say. Compared to other courses like BTech, etc., the placement rate is low. However for other courses like BPED, MPES, etc., there are various placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: There is a limited wifi facility all over the campus, and almost every classroom has smart board facilities with CCTVs installed . There is a good library with a huge collection of books; there you can find various types of books according to your needs . Also, there are various types of food stalls . Also, you can show your athleticism and sportsmanship at all India university games and IUT provides this opportunity to various sports and games .
Faculty: The faculty for the physical education department is very good; all are experts in their specialization; every faculty member has years of experience and is also very kind and helpful; they are very knowledgeable. And in a year there are 4 exams (midterm and end semester) and the course curriculum is according to UGC guidelines.
