M.A. in History - Batch of 2024
5
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall best College for M.A. In History Course.
Placements: Our batch and the senior batch had an excellent placement rate. However, some people remained unemployed. In comparison to this year, last year we had about 75% of people placed. The highest package was 30 LPA, while the lowest was 7 LPA. Accenture, Philips, ICICI Bank, Infosys, and other companies visited the campus. 50% of the students received internships. The highest salary was 5 LPA, while the lowest was 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The main building is now the college administration building. It houses the director, the dean of academic affairs, the dean of student affairs, the gymkhana, the examination cell, and the college’s other major administrative leaders. The building is nearly three stories tall, with a base floor length of 18 meters and a width of 9 meters. The building was restored in 2012.
Faculty: All of the courses are applicable. The teachers are supportive, qualified, and informed. Some teachers provide excellent instruction, while others provide adequate instruction. The classes are concise and informative. They prepare students for life in the workforce. However, putting all of the courses together feels like a hassle. Semester exams are simple, and the pass rate is 93%.

Discontinued (Sep 2022)- B.A. in Political Science - Batch of 2024

Absolutely satisfied with the college, but it lacks placement and sports facilities.
Placements: In the first semester, I got a 5.00 CGPA. It was very low because I was lacking in the college environment and the different aura coming from it. But in the second semester, I got around a 6.92 CGPA, which was very good compared to the previous semester. My overall percentage was 6.21 CGPA, Grade B+, First Class. Our college didn’t offer any placements, and we don’t get any packages from different companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good enough to study. Because of its remote area, it was quite a good place, and the library was also very large in size. The classrooms and toilets were very well-facilitated. I don’t have much idea about the hostel because I was a day scholar, but the canteen was good enough. Regarding sports, they don’t give much attention to sports.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, supportive, and well-qualified. Yes, the courses we learned were very useful and relevant. The exams were pretty good; the paper was made according to the syllabus we received. The pass percentage was around 80 to 85 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a lawyer, and Political Science as a major subject is mandatory. The timetable could have been much better if they focused on it because many students come from far away. The event, FEAT, was quite average, but the campus was good.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2023

But as for the placement, I am not satisfied; there is zero placement on campus.
Placements: More than 50% of the students mentioned there is no placement. I have heard that once in the past there used to be placements, but right now there is no such facility. There was no internship program. The focus is on financial knowledge, business, and entrepreneurship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good; the campus is mostly under construction. My commerce campus is good with all the facilities. The hostel is only available for tribal students, not for any non-tribal students. The hostel facility is quite good, and the food is also good.
Faculty: Yes, most of the teachers were helpful to me. They are highly qualified with many degrees and experiences, and I have gained knowledge. The teaching quality is good. No, this course doesn't make students industry-ready because it's just the starting of business life. The semester exams were not too tough or hard; they were average, and a person who studies a little bit can score good marks.
Other: My batch was awesome, and my friends were very friendly. The professors were very helpful to us, and they have given their 100%. I chose this course because I want to do a Master’s in finance. If there were practical courses, it would be more beneficial. There are not many events in our college, but some programs were held, such as freshers' meet and Statehood Day celebration, etc.

College is really good with many facilities. The teachers are not good.
Placements: Students who achieved 40% in their 12th-grade exams are eligible for the B.Com program. There is no placement system, no internships, and no recruiting companies for our course. The college doesn't have an internship system or offer job placements.
Infrastructure: We have a library with a computer room and labs for B.Sc. students. We have two canteens, and the sports secretary and general secretary arrange sports and games. The canteen food is good and affordable.
Faculty: Not all teachers are helpful, but some are. The teaching quality of some teachers is very good. Semester exams are difficult; the pass percentage is 38%. To qualify for semester exams, we must also pass tests.
Other: I chose this course because of the teachers, friends, etc., and because I want to be an accountant. The NEP syllabus is tough, and I think that needs to change.

It is the best college for studies, not for enjoyment.
Placements: Many students got placed in our course. Around 80% of B.A. and B.Com students got placed in our college. Salary packages are not offered as it is a private college and run by a female principal. Companies won't visit our college to recruit students. Our college does not provide internships. Students get teaching jobs.
Infrastructure: Our college provides decent facilities and infrastructure for two courses. B.A. and B.Com students are in the same building. A low-quality food is available in the mess and canteen. Medical facilities, sports, and games are not so known. The hostel has a good building. It does not provide good food.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable with good teaching quality. Some teachers are very biased toward some students. Every person hides a quality. Some make the best of it. Some students are ready for the industry. The pass percentage is 80%. Exams and semester exams are fair.
Other: I had no choice but to take other courses. Choosing a college is the most important thing to improve. There are limited functions. Only the college week is held at night. Other programs aren't celebrated at night time.

Decent college according to the fees paid.
Placements: In DNGC, Itanagar, there's no facility of placements. After the completion of college, we have to choose the road to success on our own as the college does not have any placements cell or placements facility. The main reason behind no placements is that there are very few companies who hire students for job positions in Itanagar.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facility is not that good, but the new college GS is building many classrooms and halls in the college. Regarding the hostel facility, I don't know much but whatever I have heard from my hostler friends, it is good and hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers at DNGC are well qualified and very helpful in all the college related activities. Some teachers’ teaching ability is awesome, but there are others whose teaching is quite poor which many students don't understand. B.Com course is relevant. It is very difficult to pass in the semester exams as the papers are very hard.
