Strong Faculty and Good Placements, but Needs More Industry Exposure

Placements: In my batch at Midnapore College, around 25 students out of 60 were placed, which makes up approximately 41.67% placement. The highest package offered in my course was around INR 8 LPA, while the lowest stood at INR 3 LPA, with an average package of about INR 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant. Additionally, nearly 30% of students secured internships in companies like Infosys and Capgemini, with roles such as software developers and analysts being common.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course at Midnapore College is well-equipped with Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, advanced computer labs, and a rich library with a wide range of academic resources. The hostel offers clean rooms and basic amenities, while the food quality in the mess and canteen is decent, offering a balanced diet. Medical facilities are available on campus, and students also have access to sports grounds and indoor games, promoting an active lifestyle.

Faculty: The faculty for my course at Midnapore College were highly qualified, knowledgeable, and approachable, always willing to help students with doubts and providing guidance beyond the classroom. Everything is good but dissatisfied because of no on campus placements.

Placements: 50% of the students were placed in the course. The highest package (3LPA) and the lowest package (1.6LPA). Top role: system analyst. In the year 2022, in my course, out of 20 students, 8 are hotly placed at Wipro, Deloitte, and Infosys through off-campus drive placement.

Infrastructure: Everything is excellent. Both girls and boys hostels are available. The library environment is also very good. The English department is the most successful department in the college. Office staff are very good and they are very friendly with students and always want to help them.

Faculty: Teachers are good but I feel like if there should be more teachers per course, then it will be greatly beneficial for students. In that time when I was in the course, no professor or assistant professor was there. Each and every teacher is like a part-time teacher, all though they are good but students also need some professors, at least two.

Overall okay college but you can find better options.

Placements: 40% student are being placed from my course. The highest salary package offered in BCA is rs100000/year, the lowest package is somewhere between rs500000-600000/year whereas the average salary lies between 750000 to 800000/year. Top recruiting companies are global infosys, tcs. Roles offered as per your knowledge.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are quite big and infrastructure is also good and the college has its own library where you can find books and journals related to your course including BBA and hotel management course. Canteen is available at the college but the prices are too high for the food in college canteen.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and know as well as very helpful towards students and they have the best teaching skills. The difficult of semester exams depends on the level of study and preparation one is doing to tackle the exam. Exam have a pass percentage of 90%. .

Other: I chose BCA because I wanted to gain knowledge in technical field and the best thing about this course is you don't get bored while studying you get to know various knowledgeable things.

Placements: Almost 50% of students are placed in a company. The highest package is 4 lakhs, the average is 3 lakhs, and the lowest package is 2-2.5 lakhs. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, SentientGeeks, etc. Very few students got internships, so it's not very good in terms of internship opportunities. Top roles include frontend developer, full stack developer, web development, game development, and app development.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are available. Any student from any department of our college can apply for the hostel. Wi-Fi, a study room, a sick room, and a common TV room are available in the hostel. B.Ed. rooms are good but not the best. Sports and food facilities are also available.

Faculty: Teachers in my department are very helpful, and most of them are M.Tech and Ph.D. holders. Their teaching quality is excellent and sufficient to prepare students for the industry. Semester exam questions are of moderate difficulty. The pass percentage is approximately 95%.

Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in software fields. I think lab classes should be improved. All government scholarships are available, and it is situated in the middle of Midnapore city, so connectivity is very good. The campus is beautiful, and canteen facilities are available. Many events are organized by the college, such as indoor and outdoor sports competitions, cultural events, fests, internships, etc.

An affordable BCA college for everyone.

Placements: Approximately 80-85% of students from the 2023 batch were successfully placed. Numerous companies visit for both on-campus and off-campus placements. The highest package offered is 3.5 LPA, while the lowest package stands at 1.2 LPA. On average, students secured 2.5 LPA. TCS recruited the majority of students, and a few students also obtained internships. The most sought-after job role is that of a tester.

Infrastructure: Situated in the heart of Midnapore city, our college campus may not be sprawling, but it offers a pleasant and vibrant environment. With lush greenery and a welcoming atmosphere, students can enjoy the beauty of the campus. Additionally, complimentary Wi-Fi is accessible to all, ensuring connectivity for everyone. The faculty is highly competent, and both boys and girls have access to comfortable hostels. Moreover, the canteen maintains a high standard of cleanliness.

Faculty: The duration of our course spans three years, consisting of six semesters. Throughout the course, students will cover approximately 35 to 38 subjects, with a focus on essential subjects for securing placement in the final year. The exams are challenging, with a pass percentage ranging from 90 to 95%. Our teaching quality is commendable and caters to the needs of every student.

Other: I chose this college because of its affordable fees and expert teachers. They also provide scholarships for everyone. And also, the college's location is a reason for choosing it. Both bus and train connectivity is available.

College is good.

Placements: There are a total of 94 students in my class. If I were to estimate the lowest package offered by my college, it would be around 2 LPA, while the average package ranges from 3 to 4 LPA. The highest package offered can go up to 7 to 8 LPA, depending on the individual's skills. The top recruiters in our college are Tata and ICICI Bank. As I am new to this college, I do not have much information about the percentage of students who secure internships.

Infrastructure: We do offer computer labs for BCA students, however, the computers are all older models. As expected from a college, the quality may not be the best, but it is acceptable. On a positive note, the classrooms are well-equipped with air conditioning. In terms of the library, it is not very large, but I would describe it as medium-sized. Unfortunately, I cannot provide any information about the hostel as I have not stayed there.

Faculty: Teachers play a crucial role in education as they are not only helpful but also possess excellent qualifications. However, if coding is pursued solely for the purpose of passing exams, it may lead to a lack of necessary skills, which can hinder job prospects. Semesters can vary in difficulty, with some being moderate while others pose more challenges. The pass percentage is generally higher than that of failing students, but ultimately, success depends on individual effort and dedication.
