Good placements in the design department

Placements: Almost all students are placed in our department; moreover, it depends upon the choice, as many of us plan for their own firms as well. After graduating, some are at fabricators and other manufacturing firms, while others are under designers. I also did my last internship at Sangam India Ltd. Overall, it is a good college in terms of placements.

Infrastructure: We have a good infrastructure with actually good faculty. They really listen and care. Labs and all are well equipped, and you have all the tools that you need there. Hostels are decent, and the food is average. We have a gym there, and different courts as well.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They actually help us grow and develop there. The curriculum is nice; they give us industry exposure by giving us live projects in hand. For example, currently we are designing gowns for Miss Elite Rajasthan. Models are going to wear those and walk the ramp.

Other: The pay for interns and employees is really low in the fashion industry. I wish it improves.

Good for self-improvement and a character arc.

Placements: Faculty members play a crucial role and do help a lot in finding good internship opportunities. There is a placement drive once a year with over 100 companies across all courses to give job opportunities. Industrial training and participation in various events like young designer fest and IIID help to gain connections with field experts.

Infrastructure: I'm not a huge fan of Gargi Girls Hostel inside the campus, but Nature Home Male is leased by the college. Elite Hostel for Girls is expensive but has a far better infrastructure. Facilities are available such as decent rooms, better food, and additional amenities like televisions, pantries, and washing machines.

Faculty: Teachers are surely knowledgeable and well-qualified. However, I feel that the curriculum can be better and well-structured with better assignments. The hands-on workshops and lab provisions are nice but students lack real-life knowledge and are not completely trained for the industry.

Mediocre college, but many opportunities that make you grow better.

Placements: Placement depends upon the quality of the student, which I think lacks in many terms. For example, if the student doesn't have any skills, how will a company hire them? The lowest package offered is 4 LPA, and the highest is around 12 LPA. Top companies like TCS, Mahindra, Aditya Birla Group, and many more come. Almost everyone got an internship, but many got placed in startups like Voicexp, Globally Indian, Viom, Urbanaura. Top roles like designing head in specific departments have been offered.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite mediocre. They have Wi-Fi, which does not work most of the time, and even when it works, it doesn’t have much speed. They also lack desks. In the hostel, the diet was not nutritional, and the food was mediocre. Cleanliness was okay, but overall it’s worth living.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but a few of them seem to be not qualified and somewhat childish. Teaching quality was good, but guidance was not that good, apart from 2-3 teachers. The curriculum was quite relevant. It doesn’t make you industry-ready but sort of makes you ready. Exams are not that difficult, but the passing percentage is 50%.

Other: The events that are held are good and fun. They also provide scholarships and many other things.
