ICAI 2021 Exams (May): Candidates Who Opted Out of Nov 2020 Exams have to Fill Fresh Application Forms

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in India (ICAI) has announced that the candidates who opted out of ICAI CA November 2020 exams for May 2021 exams will have to fill fresh application forms for the latter.

According to the notice issued by the ICAI, “candidates of CA Foundation, Intermediate (IPC) Under Old Scheme, Intermediate (Under New Scheme) and Final (Under Old & New Scheme)Examinations and Post Qualification Course Examinations i.e. Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and International Taxation  - Assessment Test (INTT-AT), who had opted out of November 2020 Examination cycle and had chosen May 2021 Examination cycle are required to fill their examination application form for May 2021 Examination cycle afresh.”

In other words, it is mandatory for the candidates who had filled ICAI CA November 2020 examination forms but opted out of it to appear in May 2021, to fill the examination form. Exam fees for such students will be adjusted and only differential fees, arising out of group/country change if any, will be charged additionally.  

ICAI CA application process for May 2021 examinations - Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate, Final, IRM Technical Examination and INTT – AT will begin on March 31 and will end on April 13. The candidates can apply with late fees until April 16, 2021. Application process for ICAI exam 2021 for Foundation course will begin from April 20 and end on May 4. Last date to apply with late fees in May 7. The ICAI CA 2021 application forms will be available on icaiexam.org.in.
