ICSI has released the CS Professional 2024 syllabus. Candidates preparing for ICSI CS Professional December 2024 exam must check the updated syllabus. Earlier, ICSI announced the ICSI CS Professional new syllabus (under 2022). Candidates can opt for a switchover from old syllabus under 2017 to new syllabus under 2022. The first examination under ICSI CS Professional new syllabus 2024 was held in June 2024. The last examination under ICSI CS Professional old syllabus will be held in June 2025.
Q: Â What is ICSI CS pre examination test?
Students who are registered under CS Executive new syllabus and CS Professional new syllabus shall have to appear for the Pre examination test to become eligible to enroll and appear for the CS Executive or CS Professional examination. The exam will be conducted by ICSI. the exam will be served as an eligibility criteria to appear for the main examinations. Candidates will be required to pay the pre examination test fee of INR 1000 online. Once the payment is realised, candidates will be sent invitation along with the login ID and password.
Q: Â For how long will the old syllabus and pattern be applicable for CS Professional?
The last date of appearing for CS Professional examination under old syllabus is in December 2024. Candidates preparing for CS Professional exam will have to appear for the CS Exam as per new syllabus from June 2025. The first examination under CS Professional new syllabus 2023 was held in June 2024. Candidates could apply for ICSI CS Professional new syllabus from August 01, 2023. As per the ICSI CS Professional exam marking scheme, each question carries equal marks. Each question in the CS Professional examination is assigned equal marks. The total marks for each paper/group may vary, depending on the number of questions and their individual weightage. However, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. This means that candidates are not penalized for wrong answers or not attempted questions. It is advisable to attempt all the questions and provide answers to the best of your knowledge. In some cases, partial marks may be awarded for partially correct answers. If a question has multiple parts and you answer some parts correctly while others are incorrect, you may receive partial marks for the correct portions. Candidates preparing for ICSI CS Professional exam must note that the marking scheme, guidelines, and instructions provided for each examination session.
Q: Â What is the duration for ICSI CS Professional exam?
The duration of the ICSI CS Professional examination is 3 hours for each paper. The CS Executiveprogrammeconsists of two groups and two elective papers. The first group has four papers whereas, second group has three papers. Therefore, you will have a total of seven papers and two elective papers to attempt in the CS Professional exam, with each paper having a duration of three hours. It's important to manage your time effectively during the exam to ensure you can answer all the questions within the allocated time for each paper.
ICSI CS Professional exam will be a centre based examination, wherein candidates will have to report at the designated exam centre. The exam will be conducted in pen-paper mode. Each question paper will be of 100 marks in English medium.
Q: Â Is ICSI CS enrollment window open?
Yes, ICSI CS Dec 2024 enrollment window with late fee is open. Candidates can enroll for ICSI CS Executive and CS Professional December 2024 till October 10 with late fee of INR 250. Only candidates who have registered for the ICSI CS examination will be able to enroll for the exam. Candidates enrolling between September 26 to October 10, 2024 will have to pay the late fee of INR 250.
