The entrance test would be held between September 26 to October 5 and other than Prayagraj, it would be held at 10 different cities across the country.
Allahabad University released a detailed schedule or holding the entrance test for admission in these courses. The official schedule came to light after the University closed the application process for various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses. According to the official reports, the entrance test would be held between September 26 to October 5 and other than Prayagraj, it would be held at 10 different cities across the country. After the final date of applying in different courses, a total of 1,29,333 aspirants finally submitted their fee and completed the registration process. Of these, 68,235 aspirants registered for UG courses including BA/BSc/BCom.
The director admission, Professor Prashant Agarwal revealed that there will be 104 test centers in 11 cities of the country including Prayagraj and the University will conduct the entrance test in three phases. The entrance tests would be held through offline mode at 58 test centers and at 46 through online mode. Media reports also suggest that there would be 53 test centers in Prayagraj of which 37 are for offline and 16 for online mode. "We would try our best to declare the result in the second week of October after which the admission process will commence", said Professor Agarwal.
The AU admission cell members, Shailendra Rai stated that in the first phase, the test for BSC (Math and Bio) would be held on September 26 in the morning shift (from 9:30 am to 11:30 am). In the second shift, the entrance test for BCom and BSc (Home Science) would be conducted from 2 pm to 4 pm. The entrance test for BA, BFA and BPA would be conducted on September 27 in the first shift and for BALLB, in the second shift.
On September 29, the entrance test for three-year LLB exam would be held in the second shift. PGAT (phase one) is scheduled for September 30. The exam would be conducted in the first shift and for admission in LLM and MCom, the same would be conducted in the second shift.
On October 1, the entrance examination will be conducted for admission in various courses in both the shifts. After this, in the third phase, there will be test for PGAT (phase two) and for courses run under institute of professional studies (IPS) to be held on October 3, 4 and 5.
However, the varsity is yet to release the test schedule for the combine research entrance test (CRET) program.
