BHU to hold terminal and final semester exams as per the schedule, online classes for the UG/PG students to start from July-end. Read further to know more.
Days after the University Grants Commission (UGC) released the directives to the colleges, universities, and educational to finish the pending exams by August 31, the Banaras Hindu University today announced that the BHU Exams 2021 will be conducted as per the schedule and the online semester classes for UG, PG students will begin from July-end.
During the meeting of the Directors of the institutes, Deans of the faculties, Principals of the Colleges and other senior officials, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar announced that to regulate the academic session 2021-22, the online classes for UG and PG courses across the Faculties, except the first semester will begin from the last week of July 2021 and not later than August 1, 2021.
During the meeting, detailed deliberation was made to ensure that the examinations for the students of Terminal/Final Semester shall be completed as per the declared schedule.
“Those faculties who have already started their intermediate semester examinations may carry on with the same and the assessment of their students shall be done as per their performance in the examinations. However, those faculties which are yet to begin their intermediate semester examinations may follow the modus operendi of the said UGC guidelines; i.e. assessment of the intermediate semester/ year of such students, shall be based on internal evaluation and previous semester assessment as suggested in 2020 UGC guidelines,” the BHU said in a statement.
As per the notice released by the UGC earlier, the academic session for first semester/year students should begin from October 1. The commission has directed all the universities and colleges to complete the admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses by September 30. The classes for the first semester will begin on or before October 1. The last date to fill the vacant seats is October 31.
