As many students have not paid their full college fees for the current academic year, the colleges are withholding their examination applications by not sending them to SPPU.
SPPU Exams 2021: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Board of Examination and Evaluation recently issued a letter to its affiliated colleges not to obstruct the students from appearing for the exams. The University sent an official letter in this regard to its colleges after receiving several complaints. As many students have not paid their full college fees for the current academic year, the colleges are withholding their examination applications by not sending them to SPPU.
However, even after sending the instructions, the university has received several complaints that the colleges are still withholding examination forms. Earlier, the University announced that SPPU Exams 2021 for the second semester will commence from June 15 onward. Currently, the exam forms for the examination are being accepted. After students fill out the exam applications, their names and forms appear on the college portals. Colleges are required to check the information in the application and send it to the university.
Due to the prevailing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, many students failed to deposit their college fees. The colleges have informed that if the students do not pay fees for the academic year, the college administrations will not send exam forms to the university. Following the same, many students and parents lodged a complaint with SPPU, Dr Mahesh Kakade, Director of Board of Examination and Evaluation.
To this, Dr Mahesh Kakade directed that, “The exam application forms should be registered immediately and be sent to the university.”
Reports suggest that even four or five days after the order was issued, the students continued to send complaints regarding the issue to the university. The students are now demanding that a separate Google form or email id be made available for making a written complaint.
Talking about the situation, Yukrand’s vice president Kamlakar Shete said, “Colleges are saying that applications will not be sent to the university without payment of the full fees. This is a serious matter.”
