In order to help the government in its fight against coronavirus, the Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has offered its resources like buildings, vehicles and trained manpower.
Speaking about it, G N Var, president, PSAJK said that we all need to collectively help the government in controlling this deadly disease. For this, we have started providing our resources like buildings, vehicles or trained manpower to the government. The decision in this regard was taken during an association meeting held through video-conferencing, he added.
We have also made a list of buildings that can be utilized by the government during this time. These buildings can be used as quarantine centres or for providing medical aid to people who have tested positive for COVID-19. In this hour of need, we need more infrastructure to help those who are already infected or those who need to be quarantined. Keeping that in mind we have taken this decision, he added.
The association people are also working on spreading awareness about the precautionary measures that one needs to take to avoid COVID-19 and basic hygiene they need to follow.
All private educational institutes around the state have voluntarily decided to help the government in all possible ways to deal with the coronavirus. During these desperate times when the whole nation is under lockdown and the number of COVID-19 cases is rising day by day, it is necessary to take desperate measures.
The association has also requested the general public to inform the authorities about their travel history or if they had arrived from any COVID-19 affected nation.
