Haryana government have cancelled all the examinations in both state and private schools for classes 1 to 8 till March 31 in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
With the number of cases of coronavirus increasing every day in the country, the Haryana government has announced that all annual examinations for both state and private schools for classes 1 to 8 have been cancelled till March 31.
The move has been announced by the Haryana School Education Department in order to avoid the spread of the coronavirus infection.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has asked all the educational regulators, to postpone all the examination including the ongoing ones. The directive has been given to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also to postpone all its examinations till March 31.
The Central government has asked all schools, universities, and all entrance examinations to be postponed and shall be rescheduled after March 31.
The Ministry has also asked all educational institutions to reschedule the evaluation of the examination paper after March 31.
It is important to maintain the academic calendars and examinations schedule, however, in an emergency situation like this where the whole world is being affected by COVID-19, it is mandatory for us to ensure the safety of students, parents, and teachers, the Ministry said.
All the institutions around the country have been closed till March 31 amid ongoing coronavirus threat which has claimed three lives till now in Delhi, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The total number of cases in India has reached to 170, with 31 new cases reported from around the country on Wednesday.
