The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has asked all the teachers associated with it to adopt various online and digital platforms to impart education, to avoid any academic loss of the students during this lockdown period.
In order to avoid any study loss of the students during this 21-days coronavirus lockdown, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), has directed all the state-run Kendriya Vidyalayas to adopt various online and digital platforms to impart education.
The KVS has also asked all the regional officers to explore various possible ways to keep students in touch with their studies. The KVS is an official body that supervises all the state-run Kendriya Vidyalayas.
A large number of KVS teachers have started using online platforms to connect with their students, to compensate for the loss of quality instruction time, the KVS said in a statement.
The body has also shared an action plan with the Principals, for implementation of online mode of education as much as possible and to encourage teachers to connect with their students through digital learning modes.
A protocol has also been set for the teachers to conduct the online classes, the statement added.
The schedules of lessons of the recorded and live programmes of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for both secondary and senior secondary classes have also been shared. The lessons will commence from April 7, 2020, from Swayam Prabha Portal.
The KVS has advised all the teachers to get in touch with students and inform them about this schedule. They have been asked to reach students through various channels like e-mail, WhatsApp, SMS, etc. to ensure a large number of students are benefiting from this porgramme.
