The Ministry of Human Resource Development will soon be launching e-classes on the Swayam Prabha DTH channels to avoid any study loss of school students.
In wake of coronavirus outbreak, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has announced that soon it will launch e-classes on Swayam Prabha DTH channels for the school students. The announcement was made by Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank through a tweet.
The Minister in a tweet said that to make sure students remain connected to their studies while they are away from school, we will soon be launching e-classes on Swayam Prabha DTH channel. On this channel, the students will be able to get full school education content which is aligned with their ongoing syllabus.
He also added that 4 hours daily time-slots have been given to Swayam Prabha DTH channels for the selected state. We request all of the students who are missing school amid coronavirus threat, to make the best out of this time and stay connected to your studies through this method.
The Ministry also said that they are trying their best to launch it as earliest as possible.
The Centre had directed all the educational institutions around the country to remain closed till March 31 as a protective measure to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
As per the latest data, the number of positive cases in the country has risen to 170, with the maximum number being reported from Maharashtra followed by Kerala. The total number of coronavirus cases includes 25 foreign nationals. The coronavirus has to date claimed three lives each from Delhi, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
