The University of Delhi asked students to follow the University’s official website only for all the latest updates regarding admissions, exams, etc. The University also advised the students not to use or consider any other information published on any unauthentic source. The University published the advice for the students after a few reports regarding the release of DU Admissions 2020 schedule for various UG, PG programmes started making rounds on different social media platforms.
Many reputed sources published various reports on the tentative schedule regarding Delhi University Admissions 2020. However, there was no official confirmation in the form of any press release published on the University’s website i.e. du.ac.in. Soon, the university published a clarification notice asking the students not to believe any information published via unreliable sources. The University also asked the students to monitor the official website of DU for the updates on upcoming events and decisions. The notice in the regard published by the university reads, “This is in continuation to the earlier Press Release dated 3rd April, 2020 with regard to Registration process of admission for the Academic Session 2020-21 in UG/PG/M.Phil/Ph.D. Courses of the University of Delhi. In this regard, all aspirant students of the University of Delhi are informed that the details of admission process and the schedule will be put up on the official website of University of Delhi. The applicants are advised not to use or consider any other unauthentic source of information. For latest / updated information please regularly visit the University of Delhi website i.e. www.du.ac.in, as any official information will only be provided on this website.”
Meanwhile, the University of Delhi is expected to release the DU 1st Cutoff 2020 in August. The announcement of cutoff of DU 2020 is getting delayed this year due to postponement of examinations and class 12th Results 2020 in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. DU Cutoff 2020 is the minimum percentage of marks to be scored by the aspiring candidates to grab a seat in undergraduate programmes in colleges affiliated to the University. The University is likely to release 8-10 DU cut off lists for admissions to over 62,000 seats across 91 participating colleges. The declaration of DU cut off list 2020 will continue till September.
