Delhi University to commence semester classes from July 20, Check details here

The notice released by DU states that the sixth-semester classes will begin for the students on January 1 and will continue until April 28, 2022.

Delhi University in its latest notification informed that the classes for the fifth-semester students will begin from July 20, 2021, while the examinations will be conducted from November 30, 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the university conducted the examinations only for the terminal year students and the final year classes for the present second-year students will begin from the end of July 2021. The notice released by the university states that the sixth-semester classes will begin for the students on January 1 and will continue until April 28, 2022. The theory examinations will be conducted from May 11, 2022.

Delhi University has also released a revised academic calendar for Second and third-year students of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The calendar is available on the official website of the university.  Earlier, DU announced that the third-semester classes for the present batch of first-year students will begin from August 31, 2021, while for the students taking admissions for the 2021-22 academic session, the classes will commence from November 18, 2021.

Amid the cancellation of board exams and delayed CBSE 12^th results along with the results of other state boards, Delhi University Admissions 2021 are also being adversely hampered. Last year also, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus delayed the admission process and the classes for the first semester students were commenced in November 2020. The second-semester examinations are to be conducted between August 12 and 24, 2021 while the classes for the same batch are expected to commence from August 31, 2021.

Reports suggest that due to the delayed results, Delhi University may postpone the registration process for admissions until July 31, 2021. The university is yet to release the details regarding the admission process for the students and the admission procedure to be followed.
