The hostels at the Arya Institute of Engineering & Technology can accommodate about 1000 students every year.

Hostels at the Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology are not just four walls and a roof on top but something more than that. They are home away from home. They have a comfortable and secure accommodation while also promoting everlasting friendships among the students. The campus has four boys’ hostels (namely Tez, H-Hostel, NBH and Pinaki) and one girls’ hostel. Situated inside a lush green campus, the resident students have access to several facilities.

Hostel Facilities at AIET

The institution has five hostels. The hostels, in total, accommodate about 1000 students every year. The facilities and amenities include:

  • AC (Air Conditioned) dual and triple shared bed options. 
  • Every room is equipped with a bed, a study table, an attached washroom, chairs and cupboards. The furniture is ergonomically designed to facilitate residents.
  • Access to 24*7 high-speed (wired and wireless) internet connectivity. 
  • A 24*7 water and electricity supply supported by stand-by captive generators. The campus is 100% solar powered.
  • Clean and well-sanitised rooms. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned on a daily basis maintaining hygiene.
  • A well-equipped gymnasium with trainers.
  • An indoor badminton court, a basketball court, a football field and an outdoor badminton court. The hostels also have an indoor games room with chess, carom boards and other games.
  • A laundry service with a dry-cleaning facility.  The laundry service is not included in the hostel fee and is billed monthly.
  • A caretaker residing in each hostel is responsible for follow-ups on all routine maintenance issues, and the warden looks after the hostel administration.
  • A well-maintained guest house is situated inside of the campus. Parents visiting their wards can stay in the guest house.
  • On-campus water treatment plant and rainwater harvesting system.

Food at AIET Hostel

Healthy and nutritious food is served to the residents. The mess at the campus is very hygienic and is well monitored by the Mess Committee. The mess is air-conditioned and serves 100% vegetarian breakfast, lunch, evening refreshments and dinner every day. The dining area opens at 7:30 in the morning. The committee takes heed of residents’ feedback and ensures the food is up to the mark. A balanced menu is prepared every month by the Mess Committee in consultation with the hostel administrators.

The campus also has a cafeteria that opens at 7:00 in the morning and serves till 12:00 midnight. The cafeteria serves a wide variety of food including coffee, cold drinks, fast foods, etc.

Safety and Security

The hostels are under 24/7 CCTV surveillance. Professional security guards are deputed at the campus to avoid any untoward incidents. The residents are not allowed to leave the premises without permission or prior notice. Just before retiring to bed, a night attendance of all inmates is done. The wardens are very caring and cautious and offer help to the residents. The campus also has a private ambulance service in case of any emergency.

Events

Various events are organised periodically within the hostels to help the residents unwind and exhibit their talents and volunteer with the communities they live and study with. Movie screenings, DJ nights and sports, to name a few, are arranged for resident students to have a memorable hostel life.
