IISC Mid-term PhD Admissions 2021: The Indian Institute of Science, (IISC) Bangalore begins the mid-term PhD Program admission for March 2021 session. IISC commenced the admissions process on November 2. The last date to apply is December 18, 2020 (11.59 PM IST). Before applying, interested candidates are advised to go through the details of available programs and their eligibility at https://www.iisc.ac.in/admissions/research-programmes/. The candidates, who get admission, will be eligible for a scholarship along with a fee structure similar to general candidates.

IISC Mid-term PhD Admissions 2021: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates, who hold non-Indian passports (OCI cardholders have to apply under regular admissions, not considered as International students)
• Candidates with equivalent degrees as specified in the eligibility of research programs (access the list and eligible degree programs here)
• The medium of instruction for the Bachelor’s program (or equivalent) should have been English.
• Preferred to have at least one valid Standard Test (GRE/GRE Subject/GATE) score

IISC Mid-term PhD Admissions 2021: Selection Process

The selection of the eligible candidates would be based on the following steps: 

1. Shortlisting based on educational qualifications for interview
2. Interviewing (either via skype or personal appearance) of shortlisted candidates
