The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur invites interested candidates to apply for the PhD, MTech, MDes and MS programmes. The institute has begun the application process for the said programmes at its official website i.e. iitk.ac.in. The last date to complete the application process is April 7 (11:59 pm).
IIT Kanpur admissions: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have at least 55 percent marks in a subsequent degree. Clearing GATE in the relevant field is also a must for the candidates applying for admission Selection of the candidates for interview and document verification will be done on the basis of merit.

Step 1: Go to the official website of IIT Kanpur i.e. 'iitk.ac.in'
Step 2: On the homepage, go to the ‘important announcement’ box and click on ‘admission notice’
Step 3: Before apply, read instructions carefully
Step 4: Click on ‘apply online’ link
Step 5: A new webpage with input fields will open
Step 6: Enter your details and register
Step 7: Fill the application form, upload images and scanned documents
Step 8: Complete the payment process and click ‘submit’

In order to complete the application process, completing the payment process is mandatory. The fee amount varies for the general and reserved category.

Meanwhile, the campuses are closed and classes are suspended of all the academic institutions due to the nationwide lockdown in the wake of the novel coronavirus. The admission application process might have started but there are chances that the IIT-K will conduct all the in-person interviews and other procedures after April 15 or online itself.
