With the covid-19 Pandemic continuing its surge the new Academic School year will start in online mode from June 1 this time as well also, the classes which will start from June 1 will give more importance to confidence-boosting of the students.
Kerala government on May 27 announced their decision to resume online classes for schools in the state. According to the reports, the government took this decision to ensure the health and safety of students and staff members amid the COVID-19 surge. The schools in Kerala will commence their online classes, from June 1. State Education Minister, V Sivankutty announced said," with the covid-19 Pandemic continuing its surge the new Academic School year will start in online mode from June 1 this time as well also, the classes which will start from June 1 will give more importance to confidence-boosting of the students."
"At the moment there is no way one can think of returning to classrooms and hence like the previous academic year this time also it would be in digital mode. We had arrangements for digital and electronic devices last year for students who couldn't afford them if there are any defects we will help them to repair it teachers and teacher organizations have come forward to help in this front," State Education Minister added.
The government also decided to conduct an annual welcome function for the kids who will enter the field of education for the first time. In order to boost them virtually, some of the superstars will be present online along with the chief minister to welcome them. Talking about the conduct of the classes, the minister said, “All the classes from pre-primary to 12th standard were held in little more last year to and this year also we will be attending online classes from June 1.” Further, the state Education Minister added that last year more prominence was given to classes through TV channels however, this year teachers will give more importance to the online classes and interaction between them and students.
