Experienced all verticals of a management career in 1st year of curriculum at AIMED, says Dilip
The first tough decision in a student’s life is to choose stream in Class 11 which will eventually serve as a basis for their career. I opted for Science subjects. After Class 12 exams, I wanted to join medical college but I dropped the idea and took admission in Biotechnology in a reputed college. Slowly and gradually. My interest developed in the Food Processing industry, which made me pick Master’s degree in Food Processing field. I always thought of being innovative enough to make food as medicine for people.
Currently, I am studying PGDME course from AIMED - Aachi Institute of Management and Entrepreneurial Development. I was counselled by admission co-ordinator, followed by Personal Interview session, which was an interesting interaction with Dean and Executive Director. I have two years of work experience in the field of food processing. This course covers all the aspects of management studies with practical sessions for an in-depth understanding of concepts. We are made to work and kept involved during training, which provided a great scope to learn. Earlier, I opted for a different university to do my MBA but later I got to know about this course and the kind of training AIMED provides, I decided to join this college.
We also get part-time jobs opportunities here in my field which also helps us manage our finances on our own. Hence, not putting so much of burden on our parents.
Institute has a good ambience with well-equipped classrooms. Faculty are well experienced in industry and academia both so they keep sharing with us with the important information on the latest trends and practices followed by industry.
In the first year of the curriculum, the institute lets us experience all the verticals of a management career such as HR, Sales and Marketing, Warehouse & Logistics, and Quality & Exports which gives us a brief understanding of all the departments in a corporate and also assists us in deciding which specialisation to choose ahead.
The institute has an active Rotaract cell which encourages students to organise and participate in various cultural and social activities. These events facilitate students with networking opportunities as the institute invites a lot of prominent dignitaries, industry professionals, entrepreneurs and motivational speakers to enlighten our career paths with numerous opportunities ahead.
Studying and working part-time in Aachi Group in Research and New Product Development department has helped me create a progressive carrier roadmap. The work experience will help me in contributing my skills set in the growth of a company.
I aspire to be a part of organisation that offers me the ample number of opportunities to grow in my career. I want to learn every day and face challenges to come up as a better person. I don’t want my learning to stop as soon as the PGDME ends.
