Passion for Computer Science: Career Goal as Data Scientist

I am pursuing a B.Tech in CSE at Seacom Engineering College. My college & course makes a perfect combination because of the quality of education. My college provides high-quality education in the chosen field of my study, with experienced faculty, relevant coursework, and modern infrastructure.

The courses offered by the college have good career prospects with high employability, relevant skills, and opportunities for further education or specialization.

Location and campus culture: The college is located in a place that is accessible and comfortable for the individual, with a campus culture that fosters personal and academic growth, extracurricular activities, and a supportive community.

The college is very affordable and offers financial aid or scholarships to eligible students so that they can pursue their education without a significant financial burden.

I passed class 12th from a PCMB background in 2020. In the same year, I appeared in WBJEE. Based on my WBJEE rank I do the counseling process for admission to Engineering colleges. As my current college is just 10km away from my house I choose this college as my first priority in the counseling process. After the counselling process, I got into this college and I took admission to this college.

I am pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. I am passionate about this course because I love it. From childhood I have had a natural curiosity and interest in this subject and new technologies, finding it fascinating to learn more and explore different aspects of it. Also, I have a specific career goal in mind and this subject is a stepping stone toward achieving that goal. I want to be a Data Scientist and this course will help me to reach my goal.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted campus life in my college. My college has switched to online learning to reduce the risk of transmission among students, faculty, and staff. Lectures, assignments, and exams are being conducted online. In some cases, colleges have resumed in-person classes, but with reduced capacity and social distancing measures in place. This includes the use of masks, hand sanitizers, and other safety protocols. Many campus activities, such as sports, cultural events, and gatherings, have been cancelled, postponed, or moved online. This has affected the overall campus experience for students. College campuses have restricted access to facilities such as libraries, laboratories, and other academic resources. Students may need to book appointments to use these facilities.

Engineering college life can have a significant impact on a student's overall growth and development. College life provides students with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in their chosen field of study. Through coursework, projects, and research, students develop analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. My College offers internships and technical workshops which help to gain technical knowledge in practice. College life provides a rich social environment where students can make new friends, join clubs and organizations, and participate in various activities. These experiences help students to develop social skills, build a network of contacts, and gain valuable leadership experience.
