A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. Q:   What is the percentage required in Class 12 to get admission to BCom at Punjab University?

A:

The eligibility criteria for admission to the BCom programme at Punjab University may vary depending on the category of the candidate. For general category students, the minimum percentage required in class 12th is 50%. However, for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST, OBC, PwD, and others, there may be some relaxation in the minimum percentage required. It is advisable to check the official website of Punjab University or the admission brochure for detailed information on eligibility criteria for the BCom programme.

Q:   Can I seek admission to BTech only on the basis of Class 12 marks?

A:
Admissions in UIET for B.E. courses will be made on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Rank (AIR). There will be three rounds of online counselling followed by one last SPOT round of online counselling. Only the registered candidates will be able to participate in these rounds of counselling. So only 12th marks are not enough for admission in BE courses.

Q:   What percentage is required for Panjab University BA admission?

A:

Candidates seeking BA or BA (Hons) course admission at Panjab University must have an aggregate of up to 60% in Class 12. This requirement is the minimum aggregate that is needed to pursue BA (Hons) in Economics or BA (Hons) from the campus of PU. However, for other PU-affiliated colleges offering numerous other specialisations, the requirement might also vary. For more details on the college-wise and Specialisation-wise eligibility requirements of BA at PU, candidates are advised to visit the official website of the affiliated college or contact their admission office.

Q:   Is CAT compulsory to get into Panjab University for MBA?

A:

The answer is both yes and no. admission to all MBA courses is entrance-based at all the MBA offering institutes of PU. While for an Integrated MBA, students need a valid score in JEE Main exam, admission to UBS and UIAMS is subject to a valid score in CATor PU METexams, respectively. Students who wish to get into the specialisations or courses offered by UIAMS are required to appear for PU MET exam and those who wish to get into UBS are required to have a valid score in CAT exam.

Q:   Can a person get admission to BCom at Panjab University if he scores 70% in Class 12?

A:

Admission to BCom at Panjab University is based on merit in the qualifying examination (Class 12th) for candidates belonging to the General Category. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to BCom at Panjab University is a pass in Class 12th from a recognised board with at least 50% marks in aggregate. However, the cutoff for admission may vary every year based on the number of applicants and the availability of seats. Therefore, it is advisable to check the official website of Panjab University or the admission brochure for the latest information on the admission process and cutoffs.
